 මහජනතාව මෙතරම් අමු අමුවේ රවටමින් දැවැන්ත අසත්‍ය ප්‍රකාශ සිදු කරන පුද්ගලයෙකු රටේ නායකත්වයට සුදුසු දැයි තමන් ජනතාවගෙන් ප්‍රශ්න කර සිටින බව සමගි ජන බලවේගයේ මන්ත්‍රී  ප්‍රසාද් සිරිවර්ධන මහතා ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

එහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් අදහස් දැක්වූ චමිල ප්‍රසාද් සිරිවර්ධන මහතා කියා සිටියේ, සුළු අසත්‍යයක් පැවසුවහොත් හෝ එය සාධාරණීකරණය කළ හැකි වුවත්, ජාතික ජන බලවේගයේ නායක අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා වේදිකාවල දිගින් දිගටම පවසන්නේ සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම සත්‍යයෙන් තොර ප්‍රකාශ බවයි. පැය ගණන් කතා කරමින් ජනතාව මුළා කිරීම ලැජ්ජා සහගත තත්ත්වයක් බවද ඔහු පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

ජලාශ ඉදිකිරීම සහ ජල සම්පත කළමනාකරණය සම්බන්ධයෙන් අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා සිදු කරන ප්‍රකාශ උපහාසයට ලක් කරමින් මන්ත්‍රීවරයා සඳහන් කළේ, වසර 2500කට අධික කාලයක සිට මෙරට රජවරුන් මෙන්ම නිදහසින් පසු පත් වූ නායකයින්ද ජල සම්පත වෙනුවෙන් ප්‍රමුඛතාව දී කටයුතු කළ බවත්, මෙය අලුතින් සොයාගත් කරුණක් නොවන බවත්ය.

එමෙන්ම සාමාන්‍ය ජනතාව සති පොළට යන අතරතුර රෝහල් වෙත ගොස් ඖෂධ ලබා ගැනීම උපහාසයට ලක් කරමින් අනුර දිසානායක මහතා දුප්පත් ජනතාවගේ ජීවන රටාව හෑල්ලු කර ඇති බවටද ඔහු චෝදනා කළේය. සෞඛ්‍ය ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ පවතින සැබෑ වෛද්‍ය පුරප්පාඩු පිළිබඳව හෝ නිසි අවබෝධයක් නොමැතිව "සෑම පවුලකටම වෛද්‍යවරයෙකු ලබා දෙන බවට" ඉටු කළ නොහැකි පොරොන්දු දෙමින් ජනතාවගේ හැඟීම් සමඟ සෙල්ලම් කරන බවද ඔහු පැවසීය.

MP Prasanna Sirivardane Questions Leadership Credibility Amidst False Claims

Concerns regarding the suitability of certain political figures for leadership are being raised by MP Prasanna Sirivardane of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya. During a recent public meeting, he highlighted the alarming spread of monumental falsehoods by individuals positioned in the country’s governance.

Expanding on his thoughts, Sirivardane emphasized that while minor inaccuracies may sometimes be justified, the statements made by Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the leader of the National People’s Power, are fundamentally devoid of truth. He condemned the practice of misleading the public with extensive claims as a situation that evokes shame.

In a pointed critique of Dissanayake’s remarks regarding the construction of reservoirs and water resource management, the MP noted that leaders throughout the last 2,500 years, including those following independence, have prioritized the nation’s water resources. He asserted that these considerations are not new discoveries.

Furthermore, Sirivardane called attention to Dissanayake's mocking comments about the challenges faced by the public in obtaining medicines from hospitals during their weekly market visits. He accused the former of undermining the livelihoods of the impoverished and manipulating public sentiment with unfeasible promises such as “providing a doctor for every family,” without any real understanding of the existing medical shortages in the healthcare sector.

Additionally, Sirivardane pointed out that Anura Kumara Dissanayake appears to overlook the actions taken by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe over the past two years, which have been instrumental in stabilizing the economy following the end of the pandemic. He urged the public to remain vigilant against deceptive narratives that may emerge for political gain.
