ඉන්ධන මිල සංශෝධනයේදී සියළු බර ජනතාවට දාන්නෙ නෑ.. රජයත් කොටසක් දරනවා..- ඇමති

 ජාත්‍යන්තර වෙළෙඳපොළ තුළ බොරතෙල් මිල යළිත් ඉහළ ගොස් තිබුණ ද, එහි සමස්ත බර මෙරට පාරිභෝගිකයා මත පැටවීමට රජය සූදානම් නොමැති බව බලශක්ති අමාත්‍ය අනුර කරුණාතිලක මහතා අද (23) පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේදී ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

සෑම මසකම අවසානයේ සිදු කරනු ලබන නිත්‍ය ඉන්ධන මිල සංශෝධනයට අදාළ තොරතුරු අද දිනයේදීම මහජනතාව වෙත දැනුම් දීමට කටයුතු කරන බව ද අමාත්‍යවරයා මෙහිදී සඳහන් කර සිටියේය.

එළැඹෙන මිල සංශෝධනය පිළිබඳව වැඩිදුරටත් කරුණු පැහැදිලි කළ අමාත්‍යවරයා පෙන්වා දුන්නේ, පසුගිය අප්‍රේල්, මැයි සහ ජූනි යන මාසවලදී මෙන්ම මෙවර ද ලෝක වෙළෙඳපොළේ මිල ඉහළ යාමෙන් එල්ල වන පීඩනයෙන් කොටසක් රජය විසින් දරාගැනීමට අපේක්ෂා කරන බවයි.

වගකිවයුතු රජයක් ලෙස සමස්ත බර පාරිභෝගිකයා මත නොපටවා, ඉන් කොටසක් රජය මඟින් දරාගනිමින් ජනතාවට උපරිම සහනයක් සැලසීමට පියවර ගන්නා බව හෙතෙම වැඩිදුරටත් අවධාරණය කළේය.

Government Unprepared to Transfer Rising Oil Prices to Consumers, Says Energy Minister

Despite a recent surge in oil prices on the international market, Energy Minister Anura Yapa Karunathilaka announced in Parliament today that the government is not ready to shift the entire burden onto local consumers.

The Minister emphasized that information regarding regular fuel price adjustments, typically conducted at the end of each month, will be communicated to the public today.

In providing further clarity on the impending price changes, he noted that the government anticipates bearing some of the pressure resulting from the price hikes observed in recent months, including April, May, and June, as well as the current fluctuations in the global market.

Underlining the government's accountability, he reiterated that they aim to provide maximum relief to the public by absorbing part of the burden rather than passing it entirely onto consumers.
