වත්මන් රජය බලයට පත්වූ වහාම රාජ්ය සේවකයන්ගේ වැටුප් වැඩිකිරීමට පියවර ගත් බවත්, 2027 වසර අවසන් වන විට ජාත්යන්තර මූල්ය අරමුදලේ (IMF) වැඩපිළිවෙළින් ඉවත් වී ජනතාවට මීට වඩා සහන ලබාදීමට රජය බලාපොරොත්තු වන බවත් නිවාස, ඉදිකිරීම් සහ ජලසම්පාදන නියෝජ්ය අමාත්ය ටී.බී. සරත් මහතා පවසයි.
නියෝජ්ය අමාත්යවරයා සඳහන් කළේ, පළමු සහ දෙවන අයවැය ලේඛන මගින් රුපියල් 10,000කට ආසන්න ප්රමාණයකින් වැටුප් වැඩිකර ඇති අතර, එළඹෙන නොවැම්බර් මාසයේදී ද තවත් වැටුප් වැඩිකිරීමක් සිදුකිරීමට නියමිත බවයි.
මීට පෙර රුපියල් 10,000කට ආසන්න මට්ටමක පැවති අවම වැටුප ලබන වසර වන විට රුපියල් 40,000 ඉක්මවා යන මට්ටමකට ඉහළ නැංවීමට රජය සැලසුම් කර ඇති බව ද ඔහු පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.
රාජ්ය සේවයේ කාර්යක්ෂමතාව වැඩි කිරීම සඳහා සේවකයන් මුහුණ දෙන මූල්ය පීඩනය අවම කළ යුතු බවත්, ඒ සඳහා රජය උපරිමයෙන් කටයුතු කරන බවත් ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසීය.
2027 වසර අවසන් වන විට මෙරට ආර්ථිකය ශක්තිමත් කර IMF වැඩපිළිවෙළින් නිදහස් වීම රජයේ ප්රධාන ඉලක්කයක් බවත්, ඉන් අනතුරුව ජනතාවට මීට වඩා සහනදායී පරිසරයක් නිර්මාණය කරන බවත් නියෝජ්ය අමාත්යවරයා අවධාරණය කළේය.
ජනතාව සහ රජය අතර පවතින අනවශ්ය ගැටුම් අවම කිරීම සඳහා මෙතෙක් නොවිසඳී පවතින ගැටලු කඩිනමින් විසඳීමට රජය කැපවී සිටින බව ද ටී.බී. සරත් මහතා වැඩිදුරටත් ප්රකාශ කර සිටියේය.
Government Moves to Increase Public Sector Salaries, Aims for Economic Recovery by 2027
The current administration has taken decisive steps to raise salaries for state employees, with expectations of further enhancements by November. T.B. Sarath, the Deputy Minister of Housing, Construction, and Community Infrastructure, revealed that these measures are part of a broader strategy to provide greater financial relief to the public as the country transitions out of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program by the end of 2027.
According to Sarath, the government has already increased salaries by approximately Rs. 10,000 through the first and second budget documents and plans to implement another pay raise soon. He indicated that the minimum wage, which currently hovers around Rs. 10,000, is projected to exceed Rs. 40,000 within the next year.
To enhance efficiency within the public sector, he emphasized the necessity of alleviating the financial pressures faced by employees, underscoring the government's commitment to taking decisive actions in this regard.
Strengthening the economy and freeing the nation from the constraints of IMF programs by 2027 stand as primary objectives for the government. Sarath highlighted that achieving this milestone would enable the creation of a more favorable environment for the populace.
Moreover, he stated that the government is resolutely dedicated to swiftly resolving lingering issues between the public and the administration, aiming to minimize unnecessary conflicts that may arise.
