 ශ‍්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණ විසින් අනුරාධපුරයේදී පවත්වන ලද ජන රැළියකදී තහනම් ත්‍රස්තවාදී සංවිධානයක් ප්‍රසිද්ධියේ ප්‍රවර්ධනය කළ බවට චෝදනා කරමින්, ඊට අදාළ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රීවරයා සහ රැළියේ සංවිධායකයන්ට එරෙහිව වහාම නීතිය ක්‍රියාත්මක කරන ලෙස ඉල්ලා සිවිල් සංවිධාන නියෝජත පිරිසක් විසින් පොලිස්පතිවරයා වෙත ලිඛිත පැමිණිල්ලක් ඉදිරිපත් කර තිබේ.

ඉකුත් 12 වැනිදා අනුරාධපුරයේ පැවති ජන රැළියේදී යාපනය දිස්ත්‍රික් පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී රාමනාදන් අර්චුනා වේදිකාවට නැග තමන් කොටි සංවිධානයේ සාමාජිකයෙකු බව ඉතා පැහැදිලිව ප්‍රකාශ කළ බව පැමිණිලිකරුවෝ පෙන්වා දෙති.

මීට පෙර පාර්ලිමේන්තු වරප්‍රසාදවලට මුවා වී පාර්ලිමේන්තුව තුළ මෙවැනි අදහස් පළ කළ ද, මෙවර ඔහු ප්‍රසිද්ධ මහජන වේදිකාවකදී මෙම නීති විරෝධී ප්‍රකාශය සිදු කර ඇති බව ද ඔවුහු සඳහන් කරති.

එල්.ටී.ටී.ඊ. සංවිධානය මුළුමනින්ම පරාජය කර රට තුළ සාමය ස්ථාපිත කර ඇති පසුබිමක, ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථාව සහ ගැසට් නිවේදන මඟින් තහනම් කර ඇති ත්‍රස්තවාදී සංවිධානයක් ප්‍රසිද්ධියේ ප්‍රවර්ධනය කිරීම බරපතළ වරදක් බවත්, එය රටේ මූලික නීතිය උල්ලංඝනය කිරීමක් බවත් එම පැමිණිල්ලේ දැක්වේ.

පාතාල ක්‍රියාකාරකම් හෝ නීති විරෝධී මත්පැන් ජාවාරම් ප්‍රසිද්ධියේ ප්‍රකාශ කරන පුද්ගලයන් වහා අත්අඩංගුවට ගන්නා සේම, තහනම් ත්‍රස්ත සංවිධානයක් ප්‍රවර්ධනය කළ අදාළ මන්ත්‍රීවරයා ද වහා අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන නීතිය ක්‍රියාත්මක කළ යුතු බව ඔවුහු අවධාරණය කරති.

එමෙන්ම, තහනම් ත්‍රස්තවාදී සංවිධානයක් ප්‍රවර්ධනය කිරීමට සහ ඒ වෙනුවෙන් පෙනී සිටින පුද්ගලයෙකුට අදහස් දැක්වීම සඳහා වේදිකාව සකස් කර දුන් ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණේ නිලධාරීන්, පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රීවරුන් ඇතුළු එම රැළිය සංවිධානය කළ සියලු පාර්ශ්වයන්ට එරෙහිව ද නීතිමය පියවර ගන්නා ලෙස ඒකාබද්ධ විපක්ෂය පොලිස්පතිවරයාගෙන් වැඩිදුරටත් ඉල්ලා සිටියි.

Call for Legal Action Against MP for Promoting Banned Terrorist Organization

A group of civil society representatives has lodged a formal complaint with the Inspector General of Police, urging immediate legal action against a certain parliamentarian and organizers of a public rally held in Anuradhapura, where the promotion of a designated terrorist organization was alleged.

During the rally on December 12, participants highlighted that Ramnathan Archunan, the parliamentarian for the Jaffna district, openly declared his membership in the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) on stage, an assertion that raised significant concerns among the attendees.

While he had previously made similar statements within parliamentary privileges, this public platform marked a stark departure, allowing for such legally questionable assertions to be aired openly.

The complaint emphasizes that promoting a terrorist organization, particularly one that has been completely defeated and banned under constitutional law and gazette notifications, constitutes a serious offense and an infringement of the country's fundamental laws.

There is a strong call for prompt arrests of individuals who make similar illegal declarations related to organized crime or drug trafficking, highlighting the necessity for stringent action against the parliamentarian responsible for promoting a banned terrorist organization.

Furthermore, the opposition coalition has extended its request to the police for legal measures against all involved parties, including officials and lawmakers from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, who facilitated the event and provided a platform for such extremist ideologies to be expressed.
