There is speculation that an attack could occur either before the upcoming U.S. midterm elections or just prior to the Israeli elections scheduled for next week, based on information from American and Israeli intelligence sources.
If military operations are reinitiated, the expectation is that significant aerial assaults would target Iran’s energy centers, infrastructure, and nuclear facilities. Analysts warn that such a conflict emerging within the next three to four weeks could likely impact global oil prices, thereby influencing the U.S. midterm elections.
A Pentagon official highlighted that preparing military options for the President is the responsibility of their department, asserting that all necessary options are available for President Trump to activate at any moment. The White House official further emphasized that the U.S. currently maintains a strong military presence in the region while retaining full decision-making authority related to future actions against Iran.
Last Friday, Trump's national security team convened at Camp David to discuss the ongoing military situation and future plans.
