සියලු සාමණේර හිමිවරුන් අනාගතයේදී ගලගොඩඅත්තේ හිමියන් කෙනෙක් පත්විය යුතු බව ශ්‍යාමෝපාලි මහා නිකායේ අස්ගිරි මහා විහාර පාර්ශ්වයේ අනුනායක අතිපූජ්‍ය වෙඬරුවේ ශ්‍රී උපාලි අනුනායක ස්වාමීන්ද්‍රයන් වහන්සේ ප්‍රකාශ කරති.

පසුගිය සමයේ දැඩි කතාබහට ලක්වූ සිවුර සහ බන්ධනාගාර ජම්පරය පිළිබඳ සිදුවීම් පදනම් කරගනිමින් අනුනායක හිමියන් පෙන්වා දුන්නේ, වත්මන් සමාජ දේශපාලන වටපිටාව තුළ විසඳාගත යුතු බරපතළ ගැටලු රැසක් මතුපිටට පැමිණ ඇති බවයි.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, ශාසනික අභියෝග හමුවේ නොසැලී සිටිය හැකි ශක්තිමත් භික්ෂු පරපුරක් බිහිවීම අත්‍යවශ්‍ය කරුණක් බව පෙන්වා දෙමින් උන්වහන්සේ මෙසේ කවියෙන් කරුණු පැහැදිලි කළහ.

මේ පොඩි හිමිවරු ඔක්කොම වෙන්නට ඕනැ ගලගොඩඅත්තේ..."

Call for Leadership Among Monks at Galagedara Temple

The Ven. Upali Anunayake Thero of the Asgiriya Maha Vihara, representing the Shyamopali Maha Nikaya, emphasized the urgent need for the appointment of a monk at the Galagedara Temple in the future. His comments came during a significant ceremony where he presented a poetic discourse.

Touching upon recent controversies surrounding the Sivura event and the prison incident, the Anunayake Thero pointed out that numerous pressing issues have emerged within the current socio-political landscape that require immediate attention.

He highlighted the necessity for a strong generation of monks capable of addressing the ecclesiastical challenges that lie ahead. His message underscored the importance of resilience and action within the monastic community.

In his poetic expression, he remarked, "Referencing the Sivura event, it's clear we are called to resolve our issues today. Nonetheless, my wish for the future is that these young monks all become leaders of the Galagedara Temple.”
