නියමිත රාජ්‍ය කාර්ය පටිපාටියෙන් බැහැරව රජයට අයත් ඉඩමක් ලබාගනිමින් රජයට රුපියල් ලක්ෂ පනහකට අධික මූල්‍ය පාඩුවක් සිදුකළ බව කියන දූෂණ චෝදනාවක් සම්බන්ධයෙන් ජාතික තරුණ සේවා සභාවේ හිටපු සභාපතිවරයෙකු වන නීතිඥ ලලිත් පියුම් පෙරේරා මහතා අල්ලස් හෝ දූෂණ චෝදනා විමර්ශන කොමිෂන් සභාව මඟින් අද (28) අත්අඩංගුවට ගනු ලැබීය.
අත්අඩංගුවට ගන්නා ලද සැකකාර හිටපු සභාපතිවරයාව අල්ලස් කොමිසමේ නිලධාරීන් විසින් වැඩිදුර නීතිමය ක්‍රියාමාර්ග සඳහා කොළඹ ප්‍රධාන මහෙස්ත්‍රාත් අධිකරණය හමුවට ඉදිරිපත් කර තිබේ.
නිසි චක්‍රලේඛ හෝ රාජ්‍ය ඉඩම් පැවරීමේ මාර්ගෝපදේශ උල්ලංඝනය කර මෙම ඉඩම අනීතිකව ලබාගෙන ඇති බවට ඔහුට එරෙහිව චෝදනා එල්ල වී ඇත.
ඒ ඔස්සේ රජයට රුපියල් ලක්ෂ 50කට අධික මූල්‍යමය පාඩුවක් සිදුකිරීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් අල්ලස් කොමිසම වෙත ලද පැමිණිල්ලකට අනුව සිදුකළ පුළුල් විමර්ශනයකින් අනතුරුව මෙම අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීම සිදුකර තිබේ.

Former Chairman of National Youth Services Council Arrested Over Alleged Corruption
In a significant development, Lalith Piyum Pereira, the former chairman of the National Youth Services Council, was apprehended today by the Bribery and Corruption Commission. The arrest relates to allegations of financial misconduct resulting in a substantial loss exceeding 5 million rupees to the government, following the unauthorized acquisition of government property outside the established state protocol.
The arrested official was presented to the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court for further legal proceedings. Accusations against Pereira suggest that he illegally obtained this property by violating proper documentation and state land allocation guidelines.
According to investigations initiated by the Commission for the Prevention of Bribery and Corruption, the case stems from a complaint alleging financial losses to the government exceeding 5 million rupees. Following a comprehensive inquiry into these allegations, the decision to arrest Pereira was made.
