During a special discussion on a popular YouTube channel, the creators detailed the inspirations behind their work. They expressed their deep emotions after witnessing the incident where imprisoned monk Galagodaatte Gnanasara was brought to court, stripped of his robes.
This episode stirred a profound sense of nationalism and the need for reform among a segment of the population, which led to extensive dialogues and ultimately inspired the writing of this poetic series.
The creators explained that the content of their work draws from both selective and Mahayana Buddhist concepts, particularly referencing the notion of ‘Vajrapani’.
