අනෝජන් වෙනුවෙන් අන්තිම අභියාචනය ගොනු කරයි..

 

සෞදි අරාබියේදී මරණීය දණ්ඩනය නියම වී සිටින අනෝජන් සිවරාසා නමැති ශ්‍රී ලාංකික තරුණයාගේ දඬුවම ලිහිල් කරගැනීම වෙනුවෙන් එරට ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨාධිකරණය හමුවේ විශේෂ අභියාචනයක් ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට නියමිතව තිබේ.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා රාජ්‍ය තාන්ත්‍රික නියෝජිතයන් විසින් මේ පිළිබඳව තම පවුලේ සාමාජිකයන් වෙත දැනුම් දුන් බව සිවරාසාගේ ඥාතීහු කියති.

මේ අතර, සෞදි අරාබියේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා තානාපති ඕ. එල්. අමීර් අජ්වාඩ් මහතා පෙරේදා දිනයේදී දම්මාම් මධ්‍යම බන්ධනාගාරය වෙත ගොස් එහි රඳවා සිටින අනෝජන් සිවරාසා හමුවී සුවදුක් විමසා බලා ඇත.

එම හමුවේදී තානාපතිවරයා සහ සිවරාසා අතර දීර්ඝ සාකච්ඡාවක් සිදුව ඇති අතර, ඔහුගේ පවතින ගැටලු සහ අවශ්‍යතා සම්බන්ධයෙන් එහිදී මූලික අවධානය යොමු වූ බව සෞදි අරාබියේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා තානාපති කාර්යාලය නිවේදනයක් නිකුත් කරමින් සඳහන් කරයි.

විදේශ කටයුතු, විදේශ රැකියා සහ සංචාරක අමාත්‍යාංශයේ සෘජු උපදෙස් මත, අනෝජන් සිවරාසා වෙනුවෙන් අවශ්‍ය සියලුම කොන්සියුලර් හා නීතිමය සහාය අඛණ්ඩව ලබාදීමට ශ්‍රී ලංකා තානාපති කාර්යාලය බැඳී සිටින බව එහිදී තානාපතිවරයා ප්‍රකාශ කර තිබේ.

Sri Lankan Man's Death Sentence in Saudi Arabia to Be Appealed

The fate of Anojan Sivarasa, a Sri Lankan man currently facing a death sentence in Saudi Arabia, hangs in the balance as plans are underway to file a special appeal in the Supreme Court there. The appeal seeks to mitigate his sentence, according to family members who have been informed by Sri Lankan state officials.

Recently, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ameer Ajward, visited Anojan at the Dammam Central Prison. During the visit, he took the opportunity to inquire about Anojan's well-being and assess his situation.

The discussions between the ambassador and Sivarasa reportedly focused on the challenges he faces and his immediate needs. This was confirmed in a statement from the Sri Lankan embassy in Saudi Arabia.

In accordance with direct guidance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Employment, and Tourism, the embassy has committed to providing all necessary consular and legal support for Anojan Sivarasa without interruption.
