මේ හේතුවෙන් නළ ජල සැපයුම අඩාල වීම හෝ අඩු පීඩනයක් යටතේ ජලය නිකුත් වීම සිදුවිය හැකි බැවින්, පාරිභෝගිකයින් සතුව මේ වන විට ගබඩා කර ඇති ජලය අත්‍යවශ්‍ය කටයුතු සඳහා පමණක් ඉතා සකසුරුවම් ලෙස භාවිත කරන ලෙසත්, අනවශ්‍ය ලෙස ජලය නාස්ති කිරීමෙන් වළකින ලෙසත් ජල සම්පාදන මණ්ඩලය ඉල්ලා සිටී.

Consumers are advised to utilize any available water sparingly and only for essential purposes due to the ongoing crisis.
Officials have confirmed that the operational efficiency of major water pumping stations and distribution systems has been compromised, resulting in potential interruptions to tap water supply and low water pressure in various regions.
As a precaution, the Board emphasizes the necessity for consumers to prevent wastage of water during this period, urging them to prioritize essential uses. The notice also expressed regret for the inconveniences faced by the public due to the current situation.
This morning, a sudden mechanical failure in the national electricity grid led to widespread electricity outages across multiple areas, coinciding with the shutdown of all generating units at the Norochcholai coal power plant.
Stable electricity supply is crucial for the continuous pumping and distribution of water from key purification centers in regions such as Ambatale and Biagama, highlighting the importance of consistent power for effective operations.
During power outages, water distribution activities have been limited to essential functions; however, the inability to distribute water at full capacity remains a critical challenge for the Board.
