පවතින විදුලි අර්බුදය හමුවේ රාත්රී කාලයට ප්රාදේශීය සභා මට්ටමින් පාරේ තිබෙන විදුලි පහන් නිවා දැමීමට රජය කටයුතු කරමින් සිටින බව මන්ත්රීවරයා පෙන්වා දෙයි.
එමෙන්ම අවුරුදු උත්සව සහ සංගීත සංදර්ශන සඳහා විදුලි ජෙනරේටර් භාවිතා කරන ලෙස රජය උපදෙස් දී ඇතත්, එම ජෙනරේටර් සඳහා අවශ්ය ඉන්ධන ගෙන්වීමට සිදුවන්නේ ද රජයටම බව ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් අවධාරණය කළේය.

If the national grid failed, the plant’s internal systems (like cooling pumps) would stop abruptly, often causing thermal shocks to the machinery. This could knock the plant offline for 4 to 5 days. In August 2025, the Cabinet approved the installation of a new integrated electricity supply system at the site. This allows the plant to keep its cooling and essential systems running during a grid blackout, preventing the long-term damage caused by sudden shutdowns.
