The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has announced a significant missile assault targeting 85 American military installations in Bahrain and Kuwait. This action comes as a direct response to the US military's "ceasefire violations," escalating tensions between the two nations.
This series of strikes was initiated in retaliation for previous attacks by US forces on Iranian positions, following assaults on three commercial vessels in the critical Strait of Hormuz. Iran's military actions are framed as necessary countermeasures against perceived aggressions by American forces.
Prior statements from the US Central Command highlighted that in the wake of threats to commercial shipping routes, Iran would face "a heavy price." In alignment with this, the US has executed over 80 powerful airstrikes on targets located within Iran, a move Iran claims effectively breaches the existing ceasefire between the two countries.
The regional stability is significantly affected by these developments, with the Kuwait military officially declaring its readiness to respond to missile and drone strikes, although they have refrained from specifying the origins of these attacks.
In addition, Bahrain has issued alerts regarding air assaults, urging citizens to promptly seek shelter. The Ministry of Interior has advised the public to head to secure locations amidst the unfolding situation.
