 කඩවත සිට නුවරඑලිය දක්වා භාණ්ඩ ප්‍රවාහනය කල ලොරි රථයක් මාර්ගයෙන් ඉවතට පැන බොක්කුවක් තුලට පෙරලී අනතුරට පත් විමෙන් එම ලොරි රථයේ ගමන් ගත් රියදුරා ඇතුලු තවත් දෙදෙනකු තුවාල ලබා කිතුල්ගල තැලිගම ප්‍රාදේශීය රෝහල වෙත (03) දින ඇතුලත් කල බව පොල්පිටිය පොලිසියේ නිළධාරියෙකු පැවසීය.

මෙම අනතුර සිදු වී ඇත්තේ හැටන් කොළඹ ප්‍රධාන මාර්ගයේ පොල්පිටිය පොලිස්වසමට අයත් කළුගල සිංහල මහා විද්‍යාලය ආසන්නයේදිය.

ධාවනය වෙමින් තිබූ ලොරි රථයේ රියදුරුට නින්ද යෑමෙන් මෙම අනතුර සිදු වී ඇති බවත්, අනතුරින් ලොරි රථයටද දැඩි අලාභ හානි සිදු වී ඇති බවයි අනතුර පිලිබද පරික්ෂණ පවත්වන පොල්පිටිය පොලිසියේ නිළධාරින් කියා සිටියේ.

Truck Accident Near Polpitiya Results in Injuries

A truck transporting goods from Kadawatha to Nuwara Eliya overturned after veering off the road, resulting in an accident. The truck driver, along with two others, sustained injuries and was taken to the Kitulgala Taligama Regional Hospital, according to an official from the Polpitiya police.

The accident occurred near the Kalugala Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Polpitiya police, along the main Hatton-Colombo road.

The truck driver reportedly fell asleep while driving, leading to the incident. It was also noted that the truck sustained significant damages due to the accident, as stated by the officials conducting the investigation at the Polpitiya police station.
