රුපියල් කෝටි තුනකට ආසන්න වටිනාකමකින් යුත් අයිස් මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය තොගයක් සුඛෝපභෝගී මෝටර් රථයකින් ප්‍රවාහනය කරමින් සිටි කොළඹ නගර සභාවේ ආරක්ෂක නියාමකවරයෙකු සහ සංවර්ධන නිලධාරියෙකු දක්ෂිණ අධිවේගී මාර්ගයේදී අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන තිබේ.

දක්ෂිණ අධිවේගී මාර්ග අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ පොලිස් මුරපොළේ නිලධාරීන් විසින් පසුගිය 15 වනදා මෙම වැටලීම සිදු කර ඇත. සැකකරුවන් සන්තකයේ තිබී අයිස් මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය කිලෝ ග්‍රෑම් 02යි ග්‍රෑම් 554ක් සහ රුපියල් 91,940ක මුදලක් පොලිස් භාරයට ගෙන තිබේ.

අධිවේගී මාර්ගය ඔස්සේ කොළඹ දෙසට ඇතුළු වීමට පැමිණි මෙම සුඛෝපභෝගී මෝටර් රථය පිළිබඳව ඇති වූ සැකයක් මත සිදු කළ සෝදිසි කිරීමකදී මෙම මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය තොගය සොයා ගැනීමට හැකි වූ බව පොලිසිය පවසයි.

අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් සැකකරුවන් දෙදෙනා බොරැල්ල, බේස්ලයින් මාවත ප්‍රදේශයේ පදිංචිකරුවන් බව හඳුනාගෙන ඇත.

සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් වැඩිදුර විමර්ශන කටයුතු සඳහා සැකකරුවන් සහ නඩු භාණ්ඩ කහතුඩුව පොලිස් ස්ථානය වෙත භාර දී තිබේ.

Security Officer and Development Officer Arrested with Drug Haul Worth 300 Million Rupees

In a significant drug bust, a security officer and a development officer from the Colombo Municipal Council were apprehended while transporting a large stash of ice narcotics with an estimated value of around 300 million rupees. The arrest took place on the Southern Expressway.

The operation, conducted by officers from the Southern Expressway Criminal Investigation Division, occurred on the 15th of this month. During the incident, authorities seized 2,554 grams of ice methamphetamine along with 91,940 rupees in cash from the suspects.

Police reported that the luxury vehicle, which was headed towards Colombo, drew suspicion leading to a thorough search. This resulted in the discovery of the substantial drug stash hidden within the vehicle.

Both suspects have been identified as residents of the Boralesgamuwa and Baseline Road areas in Colombo. They are now in custody, and the case has been handed over to the Kahathuduwa Police Station for further investigations.
