වත්මන් රජය වතුකරයේ ජනතාවගේ ඡන්දය ලබා ගැනිමට විවිධ පොරොන්දු ලබා දුන් බවත්, වත්මන් රජය බලයට පත් වී වසර දෙකක් ගත වී ඇතත්, එම පොරොන්දු වලින් ඉටු කර ඇත්තේ වුත කම්කරුවන්ගේ වැටුප් වැඩි කිරිම පමණක් බව දමිළ ප්රගතිශිලි සංධානයේ නියෝජ්ය නායක පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රී පලනි දිගම්බරම් මහතා පැවසීය.
පලනි දිගම්බරම් මන්ත්රිවරයා ඒ බැව් කියා සිටියේ, ඔහු නායකත්වය දරන ජාතික කම්කරු සංගමය සහ ජාතික කම්කරු පෙරමුණේ ජේෂ්ඨ නායකයින්ගේ රැස්වීමක් හැටන් නගරයේ පැවති අවස්ථාවකදීය.
මෙහිදි වැඩි දුරටත් අදහස් දැක්වු පලනි දිගම්බරම් මන්ත්රීවරයා කියා සිටියේ, වත්මන් රජය බලයට පත් වී වසර දෙකක් යන තෙක් තමන් ඇතුලු මේ රටේ විපක්ෂය නිහඩව සිටි බවයි.
බලයට පත් වීමට ලබා දුන් පොරොන්දු ඉටු නොකල නිසා දමිළ දේශපාලන පක්ෂ සහ මුස්ලිම් දේශපාලන පක්ෂ එකට එකතු වී එම පොරොන්දු ලබා ගැනිමට සන්ධාන ගත වී ඇති බවත්, එම සංධානය ජනාධිපතිවරයා හමුවී සාකච්ඡා කිරිමට තමන්ටද ආරාධනා කල බවයි මන්ත්රීවරයා කියා සිටියේ.
දමිළ ප්රගතිශීලි සංධානය ජනාධිපතිවරයා හමුවී අවස්ථා කිහිපයකදී වතුකරයේ ජනතාවට ලබා දෙන බවට පොරොන්දු වූ ඉඩම් ලබා දෙන ලෙස ජනාධිපතිවරයාගෙන් ඉල්ලීම් කල බවත්, එම අවස්ථාවේ ජනාධිපතිවරයා වතු කම්කරුවන්ට ලබා දීමට ඉඩම් තිබෙන්නේ කොහේදැයි තම සංධානයෙන් විමසූ බවද පලනි දිගම්බරම් මන්ත්රීවරයා පැවසීය.
ජාතික ජන බලවේගය බලයට ගෙන ඒමට රටේ බහුතර ජනතාවක් එක් වී සිටි බවත්, වත්මන් රජයේ පාලනය හමුවේ එම ජනතාව මේ වන විට ජාතික ජන බලවේගයෙන් ඉවත් වි සිටින බවයි පලනි දිගම්බරම් මහතා කියා සිටියේ.

Call for Accountability from Tamil Progressive Alliance as Government's Promises Remain Unfulfilled
The current government has made various commitments to the plantation sector, yet only limited actions have been taken, primarily concerning wage increases for plantation workers. This was asserted by Palani Digambaram, Deputy Leader of the Tamil Progressive Alliance and Member of Parliament, during a gathering of leaders from the National Workers' Union and the National Workers' Front in Hatton.
Digambaram highlighted the government's lack of progress on broader commitments made upon assuming office two years ago, emphasizing that both he and the opposition have remained largely silent during this period. The failure to implement the pledges made to gain power has led to a significant merger between the Tamil political parties and some Muslim political factions to collectively press for these promises to be honored.
During the discussion, Digambaram revealed that the coalition has also received an invitation to meet with the President to address these unfulfilled commitments. He noted that the Tamil Progressive Alliance had repeatedly requested the allocation of land to the plantation community, which was promised during previous interactions with the President. Digambaram questioned where this promised land would be sourced from, underscoring the urgency of the issue.
He further remarked that a substantial section of the population, which had initially rallied behind the National People’s Power, has distanced itself from this coalition under the current government. The sentiment among these groups appears to reflect a growing disillusionment with the governing party's performance over the past two years.
