මෙම අනතුර සිදු වී ඇත්තේ හැටන් නුවරඑලිය ප්රධාන මාර්ගයේ සෙන් ක්ලෙයාර් දිය ඇල්ල ප්රදේශයේදිය.
හැටන් සිට තලවකැලේ ඇල්ජින් දක්වා ධාවනය වු හැටන් ලංගම බස් රථය එක්වරම සෙන් ක්ලෙයාර් ප්රදේශයේ නතර කිරිමත් සමග එම දිසාවටම නාවලපිටියේ සිට නුවරඑළිය දක්වා ධාවනය වූ නාවලපිටිය ඩිපෝවට අයත් ලංගම බස් රථය ලිස්සා ගොස් ඉදිරියෙන් නතර කල හැටන් ඩිපෝවට අයත් ලංගම බස් රථයේ ගැටී මෙම අනතුර සිදු වී ඇත.
බස් රථ දෙක අනතුරට පත් වන අවස්ථාවේ බස් රථ දෙකේම මගීන් විශාල පිරිසක් සිටි බවත්, අනතුරින් කිසිවෙකුටත් තුවාල සිදු වී නොමැති බවත්, බස් රථ දෙකේම රියදුරන්ගේ නොසැලකිලිමත් රිය ධාවනය අනතුරට හේතු වී ඇති බවයි අනතුර පිලිබද පරික්ෂණ පවත්වන තලවකැලේ පොලිසියේ නිළධාරියෙකු කියා සිටියේ.

Fatal Collision Between Two Buses in Hatton
Two buses running on the same route collided in a serious accident, as confirmed by an official from the Talawakelle Police.
The incident occurred on the Hatton-Nuwara Eliya main road, specifically in the Sen Claire area.
A bus operating from Hatton to Elgin in Talawakelle was involved in a collision with a passenger bus owned by the Nawalapitiya depot, which was traveling towards Nuwara Eliya. The Nawalapitiya bus, having abruptly stopped in the Sen Claire region, collided with the Hatton bus, leading to the accident.
At the time of the collision, both buses were reportedly carrying a large number of passengers. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the accident. Officials from the Talawakelle Police stated that reckless driving by the drivers of both buses was a contributing factor and investigations are currently underway.
