මීට වසරකට පමණ පෙර ඩුබායි සංචාරයක නිරතව සිටියදී හමුවූ පුද්ගලයෙකු මාර්ගයෙන් ඔහු මෙම ජාවාරමට සම්බන්ධ වී ඇති බව හෙළි වී තිබේ.

ඩුබායිහි සිටින මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය ජාවාරම්කරුවෙකුගේ මෙහෙයවීම මත මොහු මෙම ජාවාරම මෙරට තුළ ක්‍රියාත්මක කර ඇති අතර, තායිලන්ත ජාතිකයන් පිරිසක් විසින් මෙරටදී ඔහුට මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය තොග ලබා දී ඇති බවට තොරතුරු අනාවරණය වී ඇත.

පොලිස් ප්‍රශ්න කිරීම් හමුවේ සැකකරු විසින් තවත් ආන්දෝලනාත්මක තොරතුරු කිහිපයක් හෙළි කර තිබේ. ඒ අනුව, මෙරට ජනප්‍රිය රංගන ශිල්පිනියන් කිහිප දෙනෙකුම කොකේන් සහ කුෂ් මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය භාවිතයට දැඩි ලෙස ඇබ්බැහි වී සිටින බව ඔහු ප්‍රකාශ කර ඇත.

Three Arrested in Drug Operation in Kiribathgoda

In a significant drug bust in Kiribathgoda, three individuals, including a prominent theatre actor and a senior official from the National Child Protection Authority, have been apprehended with a substantial quantity of ' Kush' cannabis, valued in millions of rupees.

The operation was carried out by officers from the Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Division while the suspects were in the process of transporting this haul in a vehicle.

The two other suspects were identified as close friends of the main perpetrator. One is reported to be a relative, while the other recently returned from Japan, according to police sources.

Investigations revealed that the 26-year-old primary suspect is heavily addicted to cocaine.

Details have emerged indicating that he became involved in this illicit trade after meeting an individual during a trip to Dubai about a year ago.

It has been disclosed that he was operating this drug network under the guidance of a drug trafficker based in Dubai, with information suggesting that a group of Thai nationals had supplied him with the narcotics in Sri Lanka.

During police interrogations, the suspect revealed more startling information, claiming that several popular actresses in the country are heavily engaged in the use of cocaine and Kush.

Ongoing investigations are being conducted by the Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Division regarding this incident.
