දැන් ඔය වර්තමාන ගරු අග්‍රවිනිශ්චයකාරතුමගේ වයස දීර්ඝ කරනවා කියන සාකච්ඡාව ගේන්නේ ආණ්ඩුවනේ. මොකද ආණ්ඩුවේ බලාපොරොත්තුව ඒක වෙන්න පුළුවන්. හැබැයි අපි විශ්වාස කරනවා මේ රටේ අධිකරණ පද්ධතිය ස්වාධීනව කටයුතු කරන්න ඕනේ සහ දේශපාලන මැදිහත්වීම් වලින් තොර වෙන්න ඕනේ. අද පැහැදිලිවම ආණ්ඩුව මේ රටේ අධිකරණ පද්ධතියේ ස්වාධීනත්වය කෙරෙහි විශාල බලපෑමක් කරන්න උත්සාහ කරනවා. ඒක ආණ්ඩුවේ පාර්ලිමේන්තුව තුළ, පිටත ප්‍රකාශ වලින් පවා පැහැදිලි වෙනවා. ඒ වගේම තමයි පොලීසිය මෙහෙයවන ආකාරය. අද ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොලීසිය නිකන් ජේවීපී පොලීසිය බවට පත් වෙලා තියෙනවනේ. මොකද පොලීසිය විසින් දක්වන කරුණු මත තමයි ගරු විනිශ්චයකාරවරු තමන්ගේ තීන්දු තීරණ ගන්නේ. සාක්ෂි මෙහෙයවන්නේ. හැබැයි ඉතින් පොලීසිය සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම පැලවත්තේ පොලීසිය බවට පත් වෙනවා නම්, ඉතින් ඒ තුළ පොලීසියේ ස්වාධීනත්වයකුත් නෑ, අධිකරණ පද්ධතියේ ස්වාධීනත්වය ආරක්ෂා වෙන්නෙත් නෑ. ඉතින් ආණ්ඩුවත් තේරුම් ගන්න ඕනේ දැන් අර පිස්සුව හොඳටම තද වෙනකොට උඩට නැග්ග ගමන් ගැඹුර පේන්නේ නෑ. ඉතින් පැනලා බලනවා. අතපය කඩාගන්නවා, විනාශ වෙලා යනවා. ඉතින් දැන් ආණ්ඩුවේ පිස්සුව හොඳටම තද වෙලා තියෙන්නේ. බලයෙන් උන්මත්තකවෙලා තියෙන්නේ. 159, ගරු ජනාධිපතිවරයාගේ බලතල, මේ සියල්ලම දරාගන්න බැරි වෙලා තියෙන්නේ. ඒ හින්දා දැන් උඩ නැගලා ඉන්නේ. බිමේ ගැඹුර දන්නේ නෑ. ඉතින් පැනලා බලනවා. පැනලා බලපුවාම තමයි ආණ්ඩුවටත් තේරෙන්නේ කොච්චර ගැඹුරකද පැනලා තියෙන්නේ කියලා. ඉතින් ආණ්ඩුව කැමති නම් පනින්න, පැනලා බලන්න කොතනින්ද නතර වෙන්නේ කියලා.

පුද්ගලබද්ධව තීන්දු තීරණ ගත යුතු නෑ කියන එක තමයි මගේ විශ්වාසය. මොකද අපි ඉතිහාසයේත් පුද්ගලබද්ධව තීන්දු ගත්තනේ. මේ රටේ ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධන අපි ගෙනල්ලා තියෙන්නේ බොහෝ අවස්ථාවල පුද්ගලයෝ ඉලක්ක කරගෙන. එක පාරක් ගෙනාවා මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ ජනාධිපතිතුමාගේ කාලේ අපි ගෙනාවා තුන් පාරක් ඉල්ලන්න. පුද්ගලබද්ධව. මොකද ඒ වෙලාවේ හිටපු ආණ්ඩුව හිතුවා, තීන්දු කරා මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ ජනාධිපතිතුමා තුන් පාරක් ඉල්ලිය යුතුයි කියලා. ඊට පස්සේ ගෙනාවා අවුරුදු 30, 35 කරා. ඇයි? පුද්ගලබද්ධව. ඊට පස්සේ ද්විත්ව පුරවැසියන්ට ඉල්ලන්න බෑ කියලා. අද ද්විත්ව පුරවැසියන්ට මහ බැංකුවේ සභාපති වෙන්නත් පුළුවන්, මුදල් අමාත්‍යාංශයේ ලේකම් වෙන්නත් පුළුවන්. හැබැයි ජනතා ඡන්දයෙන් පාර්ලිමේන්තු එන්න බෑ. ඇයි? පුද්ගලබද්ධව ගෙනාවා. ඊට පස්සේ ඒක ආයෙ වෙනස් කරා. ඒක ආයෙ වෙනස් කරා. වෙනස් කරපු එක ආයෙත් වෙනස් කරා. ඉතින් අද මේ ආණ්ඩුවත් එක පුද්ගලයෙක් ඉලක්ක කරගෙන ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධන ගේන්න හදනවා. ඉතින් ඉතිහාසයෙන් පාඩම් ඉගෙන ගන්න එපැයි.

අද රටේ ජනතාව දැඩි ආර්ථික පීඩනයක ඉන්නවා. ජීවන වියදම දිනෙන් දින ඉහළ යනවා. ගොවියාට තමන්ගේ අස්වැන්න විකුණගන්න විදියක් නෑ. හැබැයි මේ සියලු කාරණා අස්සේ පිටරටින් හාල් ගේනවා, මාළු ගේනවා. අද ධීවරයා අසරණ වෙලා. මාළු මිළ ඉහළට ගියත් ඒ මාළු මිළ වැඩිවීමේ වාසිය ධීවරයාට ලැබෙන්නේ නෑ. අවසානයේ පාරිභෝගිකයාටත් සහනදායී මිළකට, සාධාරණ මිළකට මාළු හම්බවෙන්නේ නෑ. ඒ වගේම තමයි අසීමිත බදු බරක්. ඉතින් මේ සියලු කාරණා පැත්තක තියලා ආණ්ඩුව තමන්ගේ උද්ධච්චකම, තමන්ගේ මහන්තත්තකම, තමන්ගේ අර අසීමිත බලයෙන් උද්මත්ත වෙච්ච කාරණය, අසීමිත බලයෙන් උජාරුවට පත් වෙලා, ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධනයක් ගේන්න හදනවා.

Government Faces Growing Criticism Over Mismanagement of Power

The government is spiraling into chaos, burdened by the weight of responsibilities that seem beyond its capacity to handle, according to National Organizer of the Sri Lanka People's Front, Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksha. He emphasized that with 159 ministers and the powers of the executive presidency, the government finds itself unable to maintain control.

Speaking to reporters following his appearance at the Colombo High Court, Rajapaksha asserted that the administration's current predicament is a consequence of mismanagement, suggesting the government is out of touch with the realities facing the country.

Rajapaksha elaborated on the situation, referring to ongoing legal cases that appear to be dragging on indefinitely. Despite the hurdles, he affirmed his commitment to appear before the courts consistently, expressing confidence in the independence of the judiciary, irrespective of the current political climate. However, he voiced concerns regarding the reliability of the police force, asserting that it is suffering from a loss of integrity.

The ongoing discourse about extending the tenures of judges primarily hints at an entrenchment of government control, which Rajapaksha believes undermines judicial independence. He voiced alarm at the government’s apparent efforts to exert substantial influence over the judiciary, evident from statements made within Parliament and externally. Furthermore, he criticized the police for acting in a manner that resembles political allegiance rather than upholding the law.

Rajapaksha pointed out that the police's growing bias has jeopardized their credibility, emphasizing that if this trend continues, not only will the autonomy of the police be compromised, but also the independence of the entire judicial system.

The situation is reflective of a deeper philosophical flaw, he argued, asserting that decisions should not be made based on individuals; past experiences in Sri Lanka have illustrated the pitfalls of individual-centric governance. The trend of constitutional amendments underscored by the identification of singular targets has historically led to adverse outcomes for the nation.

Addressing the economic strain felt by ordinary citizens, Rajapaksha lamented the rising cost of living, which continues to burden the populace daily. He highlighted the struggles of farmers as they face challenges selling their produce while imports flood the market. Fishermen, despite rising fish prices, are losing out due to market exploitation that fails to benefit them directly.

The gathering economic pressures coincide with an unyielding tax burden that further complicates the situation, suggesting that while the government pushes its agenda driven by unchecked power, the welfare of the people remains sidelined in the quest for constitutional reform.

He warned that if the current trajectory of extending judges' terms persists, it could lead to even more severe ramifications for the integrity of the judiciary.
