ලොරි රථයක රිය සහයකයෙකු බලහත්කාරයෙන් තම බස් රථයට නංවා ගෙන රැගෙන ගොස් රු.65000ක මුදලක් ලබා දෙන බවට පෞද්ගලික බස් රථයක රියදුරෙකු සහ කොන්දොස්තරවරයෙක් විසින් බලහත්කාරයෙන් ලිපියක් ලියවා ගත්තේ යැයි කියන සිද්ධියක් සම්බන්ධයෙන් බස් රථ රියදුරා සහ කොන්දොස්තරවරයාව හැටන් පොලිසියේ අපරාධ විමර්ෂණ අංශයේ නිළධාරින් විසින් (06) දින අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන ඇත.
හැටන් සිට තලවකැලේ දක්වා ඉකුත් 30 දින ධාවනය වූ පෞද්ගලික බස් රථයක් පසුපස එම දිසාවට ආගරපතන දක්වා ධාවනය වූ ලොරි රථයක් තිරිංග හදිසියේ ක්රියා විරහිත වීම නිසා ලොරි රථය රියදුරුගේ පාලනයෙන් මිදි ලොරි රථය බස් රථයේ පසුපස ගැටී අනතුරක් සිදු වී ඇත.
හැටන් නුවරඑලිය ප්රධාන මාර්ගයේ කුඩාගම ප්රදේශයේදි සිදු වු එම අනතුර පොලිසිය වෙත වාර්ථා නොකර ලොරි රථයේ සහායකයාව බලහත්කාරයෙන් අල්ලා බස් රථයේ නංවාගෙන තලවකැලේ වෙත රැගෙන ගොස් අනතුරේ අලාභය රු.65000ක මුදල් ලබා දෙන බවට ලිපියක් ලියවා ගෙන රිය සහයකයාව එදිනම මුදාහැර ඇත.
අනතුර සිදු වී දින ගණනාවක් තමන් රෝගාතුරව සිටි බවත්, රෝගය සුව වීමෙන් අනතුරුව තමන්ට සිදු වි බලපෑම සම්බන්ධයෙන් රිය සහයකයා විසින් හැටන් පොලිසියට කරන ලද පැමිණිල්ලක් මත එම බස් රථයේ රියදුරු සහ කොන්දොස්තරවරයා හැටන් පොලිසියේ අපරාධ විමර්ෂණ අංශයේ නිළධාරින් විසින් සැකපිට අත්අංඩගුවට ගෙන ඇත.

Two Individuals Arrested Following Coercive Incident Over Bus Accident Compensation
In a troubling incident reported from Hatton, two individuals, including a bus driver and a conductor, have been taken into custody by the Criminal Investigation Division of the police. This follows allegations that they forcibly obtained a written statement promising compensation of Rs. 65,000 related to a bus accident.
The accident occurred on a private bus traveling from Hatton to Talawakelle, which collided with a lorry that had suddenly become inoperable, causing the driver to lose control. The private bus was reportedly in transit towards Agarapathana at the time of the collision.
Details emerged that the accident, which occurred in the Kudaagama area on the Hatton-Nuwara Eliya main road, had not been reported to the police immediately. Instead, the bus conductor allegedly kidnapped the lorry's assistant, demanding that a compensation amount be compensated for the damages incurred during the crash.
In a further twist, the lorry assistant was released on the day of the incident after the written demand for compensation was issued. It has been reported that the assistant had been unwell for several days after the accident, and his subsequent complaint to the Hatton police led to the arrest of the bus driver and conductor.
The Criminal Investigation Division of the Hatton police is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
