 මෙම ආණ්ඩුව ඉතා වේගයෙන් සාමාන්‍ය සම්ප්‍රදායික ආණ්ඩුවක් බවට පත්වෙමින් පවතින බව ආචාර්ය නිර්මාල් රංජිත් දේවසිරි මහතා පවසයි.

කොළඹදී පැවැති මාධ්‍ය හමුවකට එක්වෙමින් ඒ මහතා පෙන්වා දුන්නේ, ජාතික ජන බලවේගය නමැති පුළුල් පෙරමුණේ ශක්තිය ක්‍රමයෙන් හීන වෙමින් පවතින බවත්, ඒ තුළ ජනතා විමුක්ති පෙරමුණේ බලය තහවුරු වෙමින් පවතින බවත්ය.

ආණ්ඩුකරණය යනු ලෙහෙසි පහසු කටයුත්තක් නොවන බවත්, වත්මන් පාලනය තමන් මුහුණ දෙන අභියෝග ඉතා සැහැල්ලුවෙන් තකා කටයුතු කරන බවත් ඔහු මෙහිදී අවධාරණය කළේය.

විශේෂයෙන්ම ආගමික සහ ආර්ථික කරුණු සම්බන්ධයෙන් ආණ්ඩුව අනුගමනය කරන ක්‍රියාමාර්ග දෙස බැලීමේදී, ඔවුන් පැරණි ප්‍රතිගාමී බලවේග සමඟ අත්වැල් බැඳගනිමින් සිටින බව පෙනී යන බව ද හෙතෙම සඳහන් කළේය.

"මේ ආණ්ඩුවේ ගමන් මග දෙස බලන විට පැහැදිලිවම ආපසු හැරීමක් පෙනෙන්නට තිබෙනවා. ආණ්ඩුවේ ජනවරම සහ එහි ස්වභාවය පිළිබඳව ඔවුන් බරපතල ලෙස සිතන බවක් පෙනෙන්නට නැහැ," යැයි පැවසූ ආචාර්ය දේවසිරි මහතා, විපක්ෂය සහ ආණ්ඩුව අතර මැද පවතින හිඩැස පිරවීම සඳහා නව විකල්ප දේශපාලන කතිකාවක අවශ්‍යතාවය ද අවධාරණය කළේය.

ආණ්ඩුවේ ගමන් මග පිළිබඳව විවේචනාත්මකව බැලීම සහ ඒ වෙනුවෙන් පෙනී සිටීම හැර වෙනත් විකල්පයක් මේ මොහොතේ නොමැති බව ද ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් ප්‍රකාශ කර සිටියේය.

Government Shifts Towards Conventional Politics, Says Dr. Nirmal Ranjith Devasiri

Dr. Nirmal Ranjith Devasiri has voiced concerns about the current government rapidly adopting characteristics of a traditional regime, indicating a shift away from progressive politics. During a media briefing in Colombo, he pointed out the diminishing strength of the National People's Power, while emphasizing the reaffirmed authority of the Janata Vimukthi Peramuna within this political landscape.

He stressed that governance is not an easy undertaking, highlighting that the current administration has been treating significant challenges with a concerning degree of levity. This approach, according to Devasiri, raises serious questions about the viability of the government's response to pressing issues.

Particularly in relation to religious and economic policies, Devasiri indicated that the government appears to be aligning itself with outdated regressive forces, which could undermine progressive reforms.

"Observing the trajectory of this government suggests a clear regression. There is little indication that they are seriously contemplating the essence and future of the government and its population," he remarked. He further emphasized the need for a fresh political dialogue to address the existing gap between the opposition and the government.

Devasiri concluded by stating that critical scrutiny and proactive engagement regarding the government's path are more essential now than ever, expressing concern that no viable alternatives currently exist.
