පළාත් සභා මැතිවරණයට වෙන්කල මුදල් ආපසු මහා භාණ්ඩාගාරයට හරවා යවයි..

 2025 වර්ෂයේදී පළාත් සභා මැතිවරණය නොපැවැත්වීම හේතුවෙන්, ඒ සඳහා වෙන් කර තිබූ රුපියල් මිලියන 9,000ක මුදලක් ජාතික අයවැය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව වෙත නැවත හරවා යැවීමට මැතිවරණ කොමිෂන් සභාව පියවර ගෙන ඇත.

මැතිවරණ කොමිෂන් සභාව විසින් නිකුත් කරන ලද 2025 වර්ෂයට අදාළ වාර්ෂික කාර්යසාධන වාර්තාව මේ බව වාර්තා කර තිබේ.

එම වාර්තාවට අනුව, 2025 වර්ෂය සඳහා මැතිවරණ කොමිෂන් සභාව වෙත රුපියල් මිලියන 21,487ක සමස්ත ප්‍රතිපාදන වෙන් කර තිබුණි.

ඉන් රුපියල් මිලියන 20,000ක්ම වෙන් කර තිබුණේ පළාත් පාලන සහ පළාත් සභා මැතිවරණ පැවැත්වීම වෙනුවෙනි. කෙසේ වෙතත්, නියමිත පරිදි මැතිවරණ කටයුතු සිදු නොවීම හේතුවෙන් මෙලෙස රුපියල් මිලියන නවදහසක මුදලක් යළි රජය වෙත භාර දීමට කොමිසමට සිදු විය.

මීට අමතරව, මැතිවරණ කොමිෂන් සභාවේ පුනරාවර්තන වියදම් සඳහා රුපියල් මිලියන 12,278ක් සහ ප්‍රාග්ධන වියදම් සඳහා රුපියල් මිලියන 209ක් වෙන් කර තිබූ බව ද  සඳහන් වේ.

Election Commission Reallocates Rs. 9 Billion Following Cancellation of Provincial Elections

The Sri Lankan Election Commission has decided to redirect Rs. 9 billion that was earmarked for the provincial council elections, which will not take place in 2025. This decision comes as the national budget department is set to receive the funds back.

The details were disclosed in the annual performance report relevant to the year 2025, released by the Election Commission.

According to the report, a total budget allocation of Rs. 21.487 billion had been initially set aside for the Election Commission for the year 2025.

Out of this amount, Rs. 20 billion had been specifically allocated for conducting local government and provincial council elections. However, due to the absence of scheduled elections, the commission is now required to return the substantial sum to the government.

Additionally, the report indicates that Rs. 12.278 billion was designated for the Election Commission’s administrative expenses, alongside Rs. 209 million set aside for preliminary expenses.
