කොතරම් උද්ඝෝෂණ කලත් වී මිල කීයටවත් තව වැඩි කරන්නෑ.. හාල් ඔ්න නම් රටින් ගේනවා..- ලාල් කාන්ත

 වී සඳහා රජය විසින් නියම කර ඇති මිල ගණන් කිසිසේත් වෙනස් නොකරන බව කෘෂිකර්ම අමාත්‍ය කේ.ඩී. ලාල් කාන්ත මහතා අවධාරණය කරයි. අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ බව ප්‍රකාශ කළේ පසුගියදා පැවති මාධ්‍ය හමුවකදී අදහස් දක්වමිනි.

අමාත්‍යවරයා සඳහන් කළේ, වී කිලෝවක් සඳහා රුපියල් 120, 130 සහ 140 යන මිල ගණන් නියම කර ඇත්තේ නිසි ගණනය කිරීම්වලින් පසුව බවයි.

එම මිල ගණන්වලට වඩා වැඩි මිලක් ඉල්ලා කෙතරම් උද්ඝෝෂණ සිදු කළ ද, රජය එම ඉල්ලීම්වලට ඉඩ ලබා නොදෙන බව ඔහු පැවසීය.

"ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී රටක උද්ඝෝෂණය කිරීමට ඕනෑම අයෙකුට අයිතියක් තිබෙනවා. නමුත් එම සටන්කාමීත්වය යථාර්ථවාදී විය යුතුයි. වී කිලෝවකට රුපියල් 250ක් හෝ 260ක් වැනි මිලක් ඉල්ලීම යථාර්ථයෙන් පරිබාහිර දෙයක්," යැයි අමාත්‍යවරයා මෙහිදී පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

රජයේ මූලික අරමුණ රටේ ආහාර සුරක්ෂිතතාව තහවුරු කිරීම බවත්, ඒ වෙනුවෙන් අවශ්‍ය ඕනෑම මොහොතක ආහාර ද්‍රව්‍ය ආනයනය කිරීමට පසුබට නොවන බවත් ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

"අපි වවලා අපි කනවා" යන මතයේම පමණක් නොසිට, ජනතාවගේ ආහාර අවශ්‍යතාව සපුරාලීම සඳහා ප්‍රායෝගිකව කටයුතු කරන බව ද අමාත්‍ය ලාල් කාන්ත මහතා මෙහිදී අවධාරණය කළේය.

Minister Affirms Stability of Rice Prices Amid Protests

In a firm declaration, Agriculture Minister K.D. Lal Kantha assured that the government will not alter the prices set for rice, emphasizing the need for consistency amidst ongoing public protests regarding food pricing. He made these remarks during a media briefing held recently.

Minister Lal Kantha explained that the established prices of 120, 130, and 140 rupees per kilogram of rice were determined after careful calculations. He stressed that despite calls for higher prices, the government would remain steadfast and deny any such demands.

"In a democratic country, everyone has the right to protest. However, such activism must be grounded in reality. Demanding 250 or 260 rupees per kilogram for rice is simply not realistic," he pointed out.

He further underscored the government's primary goal of ensuring food security in the country, stating that the administration would not hesitate to import food supplies whenever necessary to meet this objective.

Minister Lal Kantha highlighted that the government's approach extends beyond mere rhetoric, demonstrating practical steps to fulfill the food needs of the population.
