කරුණා අම්මාන් සහ පිල්ලෙයාන් යන දෙදෙනාම හිටපු ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතාට සහය දැක්වූ දේශපාලන ප්‍රවාහයක සිටියද, ඔවුන් දෙදෙනා අතර දීර්ඝකාලීන දේශපාලන විරසකයක් පැවති බව දේශපාලන කරළියේ ප්‍රකට කරුණකි.

මේ අතර, පිල්ලෙයාන් පාර්ශ්වය විසින් පොලොන්නරුව වැලිකන්ද ප්‍රදේශයේ පවත්වාගෙන ගිය බව කියන වධකාගාරයක් සම්බන්ධයෙන්ද අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව මේ වන විට පුළුල් විමර්ශනයක් ආරම්භ කර ඇත.

Karuna Amman’s Testimony Reveals Links to Easter Sunday Attacks

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has documented a statement from former Minister Vinayagamoorthy Muralidharan, better known as Karuna Amman, regarding the ongoing investigations into the Easter Sunday terror attacks.

Details have emerged highlighting a close relationship between the Pillayan faction and former chief of the State Intelligence Service, Suresh Saleh, revealing their coordinated activities. Karuna Amman disclosed that Saleh facilitated shelter arrangements for the Pillayan group, indicating that he also provided necessary financial support for these operations.

While both Karuna Amman and Pillayan were aligned with former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, it is well-known within political circles that a longstanding political rivalry existed between them.

In addition, the CID has launched an extensive inquiry into a suspected torture chamber allegedly operated by the Pillayan faction in the Polonnaruwa Welikanda area. Statements from other individuals linked to these operations are currently being sought, and investigators are focusing on identifying persons who aided their activities within Colombo.
