නෝර්වුඩ් ප්‍රාදේශිය ලේකම් කාර්යාලය යටතේ අස්වැසුම අයදුම් කල අයදුම්කරුවන් තමන්ට අස්වැසුම ප්‍රතිලාභ නොලැබුණ බව පවසමින් එය පරික්ෂා කර ගැනීමට නෝර්වුඩ් ප්‍රාදේශිය ලේකම් කාර්යාලය ඉදිරිපිට පෝලිම්වල රැදී සිටියහ.

නෝර්වුඩ් ප්‍රාදේශිය ලේකම් කාර්යාලයේ අස්වැසුම ප්‍රතිලාභීන්ගේ රු. එක්කෝටි හැට දෙලක්ෂයක මුදල් වංචාවක් සිදු වීමත් සමග එම අස්වැසුම අයදුම්කරුවන් වසර 3ක් තිස්සේ තමන්ට කිසිදු ප්‍රතිලාභයක් නොලැබුණ බව පවසමින් එම ගිණුම පරික්ෂා කර ගැනීමට (10) දින නෝර්වුඩ් ප්‍රාදේශිය ලේකම් කාර්යාලය වෙත පැමිණ සිටියහ.

එසේ පැමිණි අස්වැසුම ප්‍රතිලාභීන්ගේ තොරතුරු සහ දුරකථන අංකය ලබා ගත් නෝර්වුඩ් ප්‍රාදේශිය ලේකම් කාර්යාලයේ අස්වැසුම අංශයේ නිළධාරින් එම අයදුම්පත පරික්ෂා කර බලා තමන් වෙත දැනුම්දිමට කටයුතු කරන බව එම නිළධාරින් අයදුම්කරුවන් හමුවේ පවසා ඇත.

Norwood Residents Demand Clarity on Unfulfilled Compensation Claims

The Norwood local administrative office has seen a wave of applicants seeking clarification regarding the delays in receiving their promised compensation benefits. Frustrated residents gathered outside the office, voicing their grievances over the lack of financial assistance they were expecting from the government.

Reports indicate that the compensation scheme, which involves a disbursement of over Rs. 170 million, is beset by allegations of discrepancies and malpractices, leading to allegations of fraud. Many applicants claim they have not received any benefits for the past three years, despite having applied for assistance to cope with financial hardships.

On October 10, a group of these claimants visited the Norwood local administrative office to demand answers. They provided their personal details and phone numbers to the officials, who assured them that the applications would be reviewed and that they would be notified as soon as an update or resolution is established.

Officials from the compensation department have promised to expedite the process and ensure that all claims are properly assessed. While many remain hopeful, the situation continues to cast a shadow over the administration's handling of these benefits.
