ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ නිෂ්පාදන ආර්ථිකය ශක්තිමත් කිරීමේ සහ විදේශ ආයෝජන ආකර්ෂණය කරගැනීමේ ජාතික වැඩපිළිවෙළට සමගාමීව, ඕස්ට්‍රේලියාවේ ප්‍රමුඛ පෙළේ ආයෝජකයින් සහ ව්‍යවසායකයින් රැසක් මෙරට ප්‍රධාන ක්ෂේත්‍ර කිහිපයක සෘජු ආයෝජන (FDI) සිදු කිරීමට දැඩි කැමැත්ත පළ කර තිබේ.

කර්මාන්ත හා ව්‍යවසායකත්ව සංවර්ධන අමාත්‍ය සුනිල් හඳුන්නෙත්ති මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන්, ශ්‍රී ලංකා ආයෝජන මණ්ඩලයේ (BOI) නියෝජ්‍ය අධ්‍යක්ෂ ජනරාල්වරයා සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකා අපනයන සංවර්ධන මණ්ඩලයේ (EDB) සභාපතිවරයා ඇතුළු රාජ්‍ය දූත පිරිසගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් මෙම විශේෂ ආයෝජන සාකච්ඡා වටය වික්ටෝරියා ප්‍රාන්තයේ ක්ලයිඩ් නෝර්ත් (Clyde North) හිදී පැවැත්විණි.

මෙහිදී තිරසාර බලශක්ති විසඳුම් (ECOGEN) සහ ඇඟලුම් ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ තිරසාර ප්‍රතිචක්‍රීකරණ ක්‍රියාවලීන් (AusLoop Global Solutions) ශ්‍රී ලංකාව තුළ ස්ථාපිත කිරීම කෙරෙහි විශේෂ අවධානයක් යොමු විය. ඊට අමතරව, දෙනුන් 2,000ක ධාරිතාවකින් යුත් මහා පරිමාණ වාණිජ කිරි ගොවිපළ ව්‍යාපෘතියක් (FRMAFIRST) සහ දේශගුණික විපර්යාසයන්ට ඔරොත්තු දෙන නවීන පශු සම්පත් අභිජනන ව්‍යාපෘතියක් මෙරට කිරි නිෂ්පාදනය ඉහළ නැංවීම වෙනුවෙන් හඳුන්වා දීමටද සාකච්ඡා කෙරිණි.

එසේම කාර්මික සංවර්ධන මණ්ඩලයේ (IDB) ඒකල කාර්මික ජනපදය කේන්ද්‍ර කරගනිමින් ප්‍රතිචක්‍රීකරණය කරන ලද ප්ලාස්ටික් ආශ්‍රිත මහා පරිමාණ ත්‍රිමාණ මුද්‍රණ තාක්ෂණය සහ උපාංග නිෂ්පාදන කර්මාන්තශාලාවක් ඉදිකිරීමටත්, ඒකාබද්ධ ජලජීවී වගා ව්‍යාපෘති, මාරවිල ප්‍රදේශයේ පරිසර හිතකාමී සංචාරක හෝටල් ව්‍යාපෘති, ආහාර සැකසුම් නිෂ්පාදන කර්මාන්ත (OSCS Holdings) සහ FLEXIMAKE ආයතනය සම්බන්ධ වන ව්‍යාපෘති ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමටත් ආයෝජකයෝ එකඟතාව පළ කළහ.

වත්මන් රජය යටතේ මෙරට ව්‍යාපාරික ක්ෂේත්‍රය තුළ ගොඩනැගෙමින් පවතින විනිවිදභාවය, විශ්වාසනීයත්වය සහ රාජ්‍ය අනුග්‍රහය පිළිබඳව ප්‍රසාදය පළ කළ ආයෝජකයින්, මෙම සියලු ව්‍යාපෘති කඩිනමින් ශ්‍රී ලංකාව තුළ ආරම්භ කිරීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය ඉදිරි පියවර ගැනීමට පූර්ණ එකඟතාව පළ කර සිටියේය.

Aussie Investors Show Strong Interest in Sri Lankan Sectors

In a significant boost to Sri Lanka's production economy and efforts to attract foreign direct investment (FDI), a group of leading investors and entrepreneurs from Australia have expressed a strong desire to make substantial investments in several key sectors in the country.

Under the leadership of Minister of Industries and Entrepreneur Development, Sunil Handunnetti, and with the participation of senior officials including the Deputy Director General of the Board of Investment (BOI) and the Chairman of the Export Development Board (EDB), a round of special investment discussions was held in Clyde North, Victoria.

Focus during the discussions included establishing sustainable energy solutions through ECOGEN and sustainable recycling processes in the apparel sector via AusLoop Global Solutions in Sri Lanka. Additionally, plans were explored to introduce a large-scale commercial dairy farming initiative, FRMAFIRST, with a capacity of 2,000, as well as modern livestock breeding projects aimed at addressing climate change and enhancing local milk production.

Investors also agreed on developing a factory centered around recycled plastic-based three-dimensional printing technology, alongside various projects related to integrated aquaculture initiatives, environmentally friendly tourism hotels in the Marawila area, and food processing industries linked to OSCS Holdings and FLEXIMAKE.

Expressing appreciation for the current government's transparency, reliability, and state support within the business sector, the investors unanimously expressed their commitment to taking the necessary steps to initiate these projects in Sri Lanka expeditiously.
