 බොරැල්ල මැගසින් බන්ධනාගාරයේ 'ඊ' වාට්ටුවේ රඳවා සිටින රැඳවියන් පිරිසක් ඊයේ (06) රාත්‍රියේ කලහකාරී ලෙස හැසිරීම හේතුවෙන් බන්ධනාගාර පරිශ්‍රය තුළ දැඩි නොසන්සුන්කාරී වාතාවරණයක් හටගත්තේය.

Unrest Erupts at Boralesgamuwa Prison as Inmates Behave Erratically

Last night, a significant disturbance erupted within the Boralesgamuwa Prison, specifically in the 'E' block, where groups of inmates displayed unruly behavior, creating a tense atmosphere in the facility.

Reports indicate that a group of inmates suddenly emerged from the block and caused damage to prison property, escalating the situation further.

In response to the chaos, prison officials called for reinforcements, which included police units, the Special Task Force, and riot control squads to help manage the situation.

Additionally, drones belonging to the Sri Lanka Air Force were deployed to monitor the ongoing conditions and the inmates' actions within the prison.

Thanks to the swift intervention of security forces, by midnight, the situation was reportedly brought under control, ensuring the safety and security of the prison.

This incident resulted in some damage to prison property, prompting authorities to initiate further investigations into the matter in collaboration with law enforcement.
