ශ්‍රී ලංකා රජය විසින් යෝජනා කර ඇති මෙම නව නීතිමය සංශෝධනය අධිකරණයේ ස්වාධීනත්වයට සහ නීතියේ ආධිපත්‍යයට තර්ජනයක් විය හැකි බව එම සංගමය පෙන්වා දෙයි.

මෙම යෝජිත සංශෝධනය සම්බන්ධයෙන් ශ්‍රී ලංකා අධිකරණ සේවා සංගමය සහ පොදුරාජ්‍ය මණ්ඩලීය නීතිඥ සංගමය ඇතුළු පාර්ශව රැසක් මතු කර ඇති බරපතල ගැටලු සමඟ තමන් ද එකඟ වන බව ජාත්‍යන්තර විනිසුරුවන්ගේ සංගමය පවසයි.

විශේෂයෙන්ම, මෙවැනි ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධනයක් හදිසියේ සහ අත්තනෝමතික ලෙස සිදු නොකර, විධිමත් ප්‍රතිපත්තිමය සහ උපදේශන ක්‍රියාවලියක් හරහා සිදු කළ යුතු බව ඔවුන් අවධාරණය කරයි.

එසේම, යම් නිශ්චිත විනිසුරුවරයෙකුට හෝ පිරිසකට පෞද්ගලිකව වාසි සැලසීමේ අරමුණින් මෙම සංශෝධනය ගෙන එන බවට දැනුවත් නිරීක්ෂකයින් තුළ පවතින මතය පිළිබඳව ද සංගමය අවධානය යොමු කර ඇත.

රජයේ සැබෑ අභිලාෂය කුමක් වුවත්, එවැනි හැඟීමක් ජනිත වීම පවා අධිකරණ පද්ධතියේ ස්වාධීනත්වය හෑල්ලුවට ලක් කිරීමට හේතු වන බව IAJ නිවේදනයේ සඳහන් වේ.
