Schools in Kandy and Nuwara Eliya to Remain Closed Due to Severe Weather
In response to the ongoing severe adverse weather conditions, authorities have announced the closure of all schools in the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts tomorrow, October 4th.
This decision was officially communicated by the Central Province Education Secretary, who cited heavy rainfall leading to flooding and drowning risks as the primary factors behind this precautionary measure.
Education officials highlighted that this closure aims to ensure the safety of both students and teaching staff amidst the current hazardous weather situation.
