රටේ ජාතික ආරක්ෂාව දැනටමත් උපරිම අයුරින් තහවුරු කර ඇති බවත්, වර්තමානයේ රජයේ විශේෂ අවධානය යොමු වී ඇත්තේ මහජන ආරක්ෂාව තහවුරු කිරීම කෙරෙහි බවත් ආරක්ෂක නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය අරුණ ජයසේකර මහතා පවසයි.

මාධ්‍ය වෙත අදහස් දක්වමින් ඒ මහතා මේ බව සඳහන් කළේය.

බන්ධනාගාර තුළ පසුගිය දින කිහිපය තුළ වාර්තා වූ අවාසනාවන්ත සිදුවීම් මාලාව සම්බන්ධයෙන් රජය දැඩි අවධානය යොමු කර ඇති බවත්, ඒ පිළිබඳව අධිකරණ අමාත්‍යවරයා සහ කැබිනට් ප්‍රකාශක නලින්ද ජයතිස්ස මහතා ද විශේෂ ප්‍රකාශ සිදු කර ඇති බවත් ඔහු පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

මෙම තත්ත්වය පාලනය කිරීම සඳහා පොලිසිය සහ අධිකරණ අමාත්‍යාංශය එක්ව විශේෂ විමර්ශන සහ පරීක්ෂණ ආරම්භ කර ඇති බව ද නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරයා පැවසීය.

"දින තුනක් ඇතුළත බන්ධනාගාර හතරක මෙවැනි සිදුවීම් වාර්තා වීම පිටුපස විවිධ හේතු තිබිය හැකියි. ඒ පිළිබඳව ඊයේ සවස ජනාධිපතිතුමාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් විශේෂ සාකච්ඡාවක් ද පැවැත්වුණා. දැනට පවතින විමර්ශන කටයුතු නිසා ඒ පිළිබඳව වැඩිදුර තොරතුරු අනාවරණය කිරීම මේ මොහොතේ සුදුසු නැහැ," යනුවෙන් ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

රටේ මුහුදු සීමාව ඇතුළු සමස්ත දිවයින පුරාම ජාතික ආරක්ෂාව සම්බන්ධයෙන් කිසිදු ගැටලුවක් නොමැති බව අවධාරණය කළ අරුණ ජයසේකර මහතා, මහජන සාමය සහ නීතිය පවත්වාගෙන යාම සඳහා ඕනෑම අවස්ථාවක පොලිසියට සහාය වීමට ත්‍රිවිධ හමුදාව සූදානමින් සිටින බව ද සඳහන් කළේය.

ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථාවට අනුකූලව මහජන ආරක්ෂාව තහවුරු කිරීම සඳහා රජය උපරිම විශ්වාසයකින් යුතුව කටයුතු කරන බව ද ඔහු මෙහිදී අවධාරණය කර සිටියේය.

National Security Confirmed at Peak Levels, Says Deputy Minister

Deputy Minister of Defense, Arun Jayasekara, emphasized that the country's national security is currently at its highest confirmation level. He noted that the government is particularly focused on ensuring public safety.

Speaking to the media, Jayasekara highlighted the government's serious attention towards recent unfortunate incidents reported in prisons. Both the Minister of Justice and the Cabinet Spokesperson, Nalinda Jayatissa, have also made specific statements regarding the matter.

He revealed that the police and the Ministry of Justice have initiated special inquiries and investigations to manage the situation effectively.

"Various factors may lie behind the reported incidents in four prisons over the past three days,” he stated. He further mentioned that a significant discussion was held yesterday under the leadership of the President to address these issues. Due to ongoing investigations, he indicated that it would not be appropriate to disclose further details at this time.

Arun Jayasekara pointed out that there are no issues related to national security across the entire country, including its maritime boundaries. He assured that the tri-forces are prepared to assist the police at any moment to maintain public peace and law.

He underscored the government's unwavering commitment to act with maximum confidence in ensuring public safety as mandated by the Constitution.
