පොල්පිටිය පොලිස් වසමට අයත් මොරහේනගම ප්‍රදේශයේ නිවසක් මතට පස් කන්දක් කඩා වැටීමෙන් අතුරුදන්ව සිටි කාන්තාවකගේ සිරුරක් 19 වන ජාතික ආරක්ෂක බල සේනා මූලස්ථානයේ භට පිරිස් විසින් (03) දින පස්වරුවේ සොයා ගෙන ඇත.

පස්වරු 1:30ට පමණ එම ප්‍රදේශයට ඇද හැලුණු අධික වර්ෂාවත් සමග එම නිවසට පස් කන්ද කඩා වැටුණු බවත්, එම අවස්ථාවේ නිවසේ කාන්තාවන් තිදෙනෙකු සහ එක් පිරිමි පුද්ගලයෙකු සිට ඇති බව පොල්පිටිය පොලිසිය පවසයි.

සෙසු සිරුරු සොයා යුධ හමුදා භට පිරිස් තව දුරටත් මෙහෙයුම් සිදු කරයි.

Body of Missing Woman Discovered After Landslide in Morahena

In a tragic incident in Morahena, located under the jurisdiction of the Polpitigama Police, the body of a woman reported missing has been recovered following a landslide that struck a house in the area. The discovery was made by military personnel from the National Defence Force on the afternoon of the 3rd of December.

At approximately 1:30 PM, heavy rains in the region led to the collapse of a hillside, impacting the house where at the time, three women and one man were present, according to local police reports. The intensity of the rainfall has been cited as a contributing factor to the unfortunate landslide.

Rescue operations continue as army units are deployed to search for additional bodies in the vicinity.
