බන්ධනාගාර ගැටුමින් රැදවියන් දෙදෙනෙක් මරුට... රැසකට තුවාලයි..

කුරුවිට බන්ධනාගාරය තුළ හටගත් නොසන්සුන්කාරී වාතාවරණයක් හේතුවෙන් පුද්ගලයන් දෙදෙනෙකු ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්ව ඇති බව පොලිසිය තහවුරු කරයි.

මෙම ගැටුම්කාරී තත්ත්වය හේතුවෙන් තුවාල ලැබූ සංඛ්‍යාව මේ වන විට 12 දක්වා ඉහළ ගොස් තිබේ.  

කොළඹ මැගසින් බන්ධනාගාරයේ ඊයේ (06) මධ්‍යම රාත්‍රියට ආසන්න හටගත් නොසන්සුන්කාරී තත්ත්වයක් හේතුවෙන් රැඳවියන් 11 දෙනෙකු තුවාල ලබා ඇති බව වාර්තා වේ.

බන්ධනාගාර නිලධාරීන්, පොලිසිය සහ පොලිස් විශේෂ කාර්ය බලකාය (STF) එක්ව දැඩි පරිශ්‍රමයක් දරා තත්ත්වය පාලනය කිරීමට පියවර ගෙන තිබේ.

සිද්ධියෙන් අනතුරුව බන්ධනාගාරයේ ආරක්ෂාව තහවුරු කිරීම සඳහා පොලිසිය, විශේෂ කාර්ය බලකාය සහ සන්නද්ධ හමුදා සාමාජිකයන් යොදවා ආරක්ෂාව තර කිරීමට බලධාරීන් කටයුතු කර ඇත.

තුවාල ලැබූ රැඳවියන් මේ වන විට බන්ධනාගාර රෝහලේ ප්‍රතිකාර ලබන අතර, සිද්ධියට සම්බන්ධ බවට සැක කෙරෙන රැඳවියන් නව දෙනෙකු වහාම ක්‍රියාත්මක වන පරිදි වෙනත් බන්ධනාගාරයක් වෙත මාරු කර යැවීමට ද පියවර ගෙන තිබේ.

මෙම සිදුවීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් බන්ධනාගාර බලධාරීන් විසින් වැඩිදුර විමර්ශන පවත්වාගෙන යනු ලබයි.

Two Fatalities Reported Following Disturbance at Kuruwita Prison

Authorities have confirmed that two individuals have lost their lives due to a violent disturbance at the Kuruwita Prison, underscoring the escalating tensions within the facility.

The number of injuries has surged to twelve as a result of the conflict that erupted late last night, around midnight, at the Colombo Magazine Prison.

Reports indicate that the unrest led to injuries among eleven detainees, prompting urgent intervention from prison officials, police, and the Special Task Force (STF) to restore order.

In response to the situation, officials have deployed police, STF units, and military personnel to enhance security and ensure the safety of those within the prison.

The injured detainees are currently receiving treatment at the prison hospital, while steps are being taken to transfer ten inmates suspected of involvement in the incident to other facilities to prevent further unrest.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, as prison authorities seek to uncover the underlying causes of the disturbance.
