 22 වන ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධනය උපයෝගී කරගනිමින් මැතිවරණ පැවැත්වීම දින නියමයක් නොමැතිව කල් දමා, ජාතික ජන බලවේග පාලනය අඛණ්ඩව පවත්වාගෙන යාමට රජය කුමන්ත්‍රණය කරමින් සිටින බව එක්සත් ජනරජ පෙරමුණේ නායක පතලී චම්පික රණවක මහතා පවසයි.

මාධ්‍ය හමුවකදී හිටපු අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ බව සඳහන් කළේය.

ඉදිරි වසර 10ක් හෝ 20ක් යනතුරු මැතිවරණ නොපවත්වන බවට ජාතික ජන බලවේගයේ මන්ත්‍රීවරුන් සිදු කරන ප්‍රකාශ, ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා හෝ රජයේ මාධ්‍ය ප්‍රකාශක වෛද්‍ය නලින්ද ජයතිස්ස මහතා මෙතෙක් නිල වශයෙන් ප්‍රතික්ෂේප කර නොමැති බව ඔහු මෙහිදී පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

සමගි ජන බලවේගයට වඩා තම කණ්ඩායම සැබෑ විපක්ෂය ලෙස රජය පිළිගැනීම පිළිබඳව වෛද්‍ය නලින්ද ජයතිස්ස මහතාට ස්තූතිය පළ කළ රණවක මහතා, විධායක ජනාධිපති ක්‍රමය අහෝසි කරන බවට දුන් පොරොන්දු ඉටු කිරීමට රජය අපොහොසත් වී ඇති බවත්, මැතිවරණ සිතියම අකුලා දැමීමට ජනාධිපතිවරයා ප්‍රමුඛ කණ්ඩායම උත්සාහ කරන බවත් චෝදනා කළේය.

වෙනත් රජයක් යටතේ නීතියට මුහුණ දීමට සිදුවනු ඇතැයි පවතින බිය නිසා රජය මැතිවරණ කල් දැමීමට උත්සාහ කරන බව ඔහුගේ අදහසයි.

රටේ ආර්ථික තත්ත්වය පිළිබඳව අදහස් දක්වමින් රණවක මහතා කියා සිටියේ ජාත්‍යන්තර මූල්‍ය අරමුදලේ ඉලක්ක සපුරා ගැනීමට රජය සතුව නිසි සැලසුමක් නොමැති බවයි. 2022-2024 කාලසීමාව තුළ රනිල් වික්‍රමසිංහ මහතා ගත් දැඩි තීරණ නිසා ආර්ථිකය ස්ථාවර වූ බවත්, එහෙත් වත්මන් වැඩපිළිවෙළ යටතේ 2027න් පසු රටට ඉදිරියට යා නොහැකි බවත් ඔහු පැවසීය.

2028 වසරේ සිට ණය ප්‍රතිපූරණය ආරම්භ කිරීමට සිදුවන බැවින්, දැනට පවතින ඇමරිකානු ඩොලර් බිලියන 6.4 ක විදේශ සංචිත ප්‍රමාණය 2028 වන විට ඩොලර් බිලියන 15 දක්වා ඉහළ නැංවීමේ දැවැන්ත අභියෝගයට රජය මුහුණ දිය යුතු බව ඔහු අවධාරණය කළේය.

දූෂණයට එරෙහිව කටයුතු කරන බවට රජය කරන ප්‍රකාශ ද රණවක මහතා මෙහිදී ප්‍රශ්න කළේය. විශේෂයෙන් 2021 වසරේ ගෑස් අර්බුදයට වගකිවයුත්තන්ට වත්මන් රජය යටතේ ද ආරක්ෂාව ලැබෙන බවත්, 2022 ආර්ථික කඩා වැටීම පිළිබඳව මූල්‍ය අරමුදල කලින්ම අනතුරු අඟවා තිබියදීත් ඊට වගකිවයුත්තන්ට එරෙහිව නීතිය ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට රජය අපොහොසත් වී ඇති බවත් ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කළේය.

Political Tensions Rise as Elections Get Delayed Amid Allegations of Government Manipulation

Phthalindu Champika Ranawaka, leader of the United National Front, claims that the government is orchestrating a delay in elections under the guise of utilizing the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, in order to maintain control over the National People's Power.

Speaking at a media briefing, the former minister expressed concerns regarding the government's intentions, suggesting that statements made by members of the National People's Power allude to a possibility of delaying elections for another decade or two. He noted that neither President Anura Kumara Dissanayake nor government spokesperson Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa has officially denied these claims.

Ranawaka conveyed his appreciation for Dr. Jayatissa's acknowledgment of his party as a genuine opposition force, while also critiquing the government's failure to abolish the executive presidential system as promised. He alleged that the President and his inner circle are actively working to undermine the electoral framework.

Highlighting concerns about potential legal repercussions under a different administration, Ranawaka suggested this fear drives the government's efforts to postpone elections.

Reflecting on the country’s economic situation, he asserted that the government lacks a proper plan to meet the International Monetary Fund's targets. He acknowledged that tough decisions taken by Ranil Wickremesinghe between 2022 and 2024 have stabilized the economy, but warned that under the current framework, sustainable progress is unlikely beyond 2027.

With the commencement of debt repayments expected in 2028, Ranawaka emphasized the significant challenge the government faces in increasing the current foreign reserves of $6.4 billion to $15 billion by then.

He also raised questions about the government's commitment to combat corruption, specifically pointing to those responsible for the gas crisis in 2021, who continue to remain protected under the current administration. He criticized the government's inaction in enforcing the law against accountable parties despite prior warnings from the financial institution about the impending economic collapse in 2022.
