දුම්රිය මෙහෙයුම් කටයුතු සහ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ අභ්යන්තර තොරතුරු අවසරයකින් තොරව සමාජ මාධ්ය වෙත මුදාහැරීම වළක්වාලමින් දුම්රිය සාමාන්යාධිකාරී රවීන්ද්ර පත්මප්රිය මහතා විසින් විශේෂ වකුලේඛනයක් නිකුත් කර තිබේ.
මෙම නව නියෝගයට අනුව, රාජකාරි වේලාවන්හිදී හෝ ඕනෑම දුම්රිය පරිශ්රයක සිටියදී දුම්රිය මෙහෙයුම්, අභ්යන්තර තීරණ, නිල ලිපි ලේඛන හෝ ආයතනික තොරතුරු සජීවීව හෝ වෙනත් කිසිදු ආකාරයකින් සමාජ මාධ්ය වෙත යොමු කිරීම සියලුම නිලධාරීන්ට සහ සේවකයන්ට සපුරා තහනම් වේ.
දුම්රිය ස්ථාන, පාලන මැදිරි, එන්ජින් පාලන මැදිරි සහ වැඩපොළවල් ඇතුළු සියලුම දුම්රිය පරිශ්රයන් සඳහා මෙම නීතිය බලපැවැත්වෙනු ඇත.
දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ නිල තොරතුරු බාහිර පාර්ශ්වයන්ට හෝ මාධ්ය වෙත ලබා දීමේ බලය පවතින්නේ දුම්රිය සාමාන්යාධිකාරීවරයාට, ඔහු විසින් ලිඛිතව පත් කරනු ලබන නිල මාධ්ය ප්රකාශකවරයාට සහ මූලස්ථානය මගින් පත් කර ඇති තොරතුරු නිලධාරියාට පමණක් බව එම වකුලේඛනයේ පැහැදිලිව දක්වා ඇත.
මෙම උපදෙස් උල්ලංඝනය කරමින් කටයුතු කරන ඕනෑම නිලධාරියෙකුට හෝ සේවකයෙකුට එරෙහිව දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තු උපදෙස් සංග්රහය සහ ආයතන සංග්රහයේ විධිවිධාන යටතේ වැඩ තහනම් කිරීම ඇතුළු උපරිම විනය ක්රියාමාර්ග ගන්නා බව සාමාන්යාධිකාරීවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් අවධාරණය කර සිටියි.
New Directive Prohibits Railway Officials from Sharing Internal Information on Social Media
The Director General of Railways, Raviendra Pathmapriya, has issued a special directive aimed at preventing the unauthorized dissemination of internal departmental information via social media platforms.
Under the new regulations, all officials and staff are strictly prohibited from sharing details about railway operations, internal decisions, official documents, or organizational information on social media or through any other means, whether during working hours or while present at any railway premises.
This rule is applicable to all railway locations, including train stations, operations control rooms, engine control centers, and work sites.
The authority to communicate official information to external parties or the media rests solely with the Director General of Railways, the designated official spokesperson appointed in writing, and officers authorized by headquarters, as explicitly stated in the directive.
The Director General has further emphasized that any violation of these instructions by officials or staff members will result in maximum disciplinary action, including suspension from duties, as outlined in the departmental guidelines and institutional regulations.
