 පාකිස්තානයේ කොහාට් නගරයේ සිදුවූ ප්‍රබල පිපිරීමකින් පුද්ගලයින් 17 මිය ගොස් විශාල පිරිසක් තුවාල ලබා ඇති බව එරට ප්‍රමුඛ ‘ඩෝන්’ පුවත්පත වාර්තා කරයි.

කොහාට්හි ‘ඕල්ඩ් පොලිස් ලයින්ස්’ ප්‍රදේශය ආසන්නයේ මෙම පිපිරීම සිදුව ඇති බව ‘Rescue 1122’ හදිසි සහන සේවය උපුටා දක්වමින් එම පුවත්පත සඳහන් කර තිබේ.

සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් අදහස් දැක්වූ ‘Rescue 1122’ හදිසි සහන සේවාවේ ප්‍රකාශක පවසා ඇත්තේ, අනතුරින් තුවාල ලැබූ පුද්ගලයින් 20 දෙනෙකුට වැඩි පිරිසක් කඩිනමින් ආසන්නයේ පිහිටි රෝහල් වෙත ඇතුළත් කිරීමට පියවර ගත් බවයි. ඔවුන් අතරින් කිහිප දෙනෙකුගේ තත්ත්වය බරපතළ බව ද ඔහු තහවුරු කළේය.

පිපිරීමත් සමඟ අවට පිහිටි ගොඩනැගිල්ලක තාප්පයක් සහ බිත්ති කඩා වැටී ඇති අතර, ප්‍රදේශවාසීන් සහ මුදාගැනීමේ කණ්ඩායම් එක්ව සුන්බුන් ඉවත් කරමින් විපතට පත්වූවන් මුදාගන්නා අයුරු මාධ්‍ය වාර්තාවල දැක්වේ.

A devastating explosion in Kohat, Pakistan has resulted in the deaths of 17 individuals and left numerous others injured, according to reports from the prominent local newspaper, Dawn.

The explosive incident occurred near the 'Old Police Lines' area, as cited by the Emergency Response Service 'Rescue 1122'.

A spokesperson for Rescue 1122 indicated that over 20 injured individuals were swiftly transported to nearby hospitals for treatment, with several victims reported to be in critical condition.

The blast caused significant structural damage, collapsing walls and debris from a nearby building. Eyewitness accounts show local residents and rescue teams working together to free those trapped in the rubble.

Emergency response teams from Kohat rapidly arrived at the scene following the incident, with multiple ambulances and a large number of rescue workers actively engaged in operations to assist the victims.
