ජනාධිපතිවරයාගේ ධුර කාලයෙන් සියයට 40කට වැඩි ප්‍රමාණයක් මේ වන විට අවසන් වී ඇතත්, ඔහු ලබා දුන් කිසිදු පොරොන්දුවක් මෙතෙක් ඉටු වී නොමැති බව පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී එස්.එම්. මරික්කාර් මහතා පවසයි.

මාධ්‍ය වෙත අදහස් දක්වමින් මන්ත්‍රීවරයා සඳහන් කළේ, අධිවේගී මාර්ග, විදුලි දුම්රිය පද්ධති, මසුන් ඇල්ලීම සඳහා වූ නවීන තාක්ෂණික යෙදවුම් හෝ ඛනිජ සම්පත් ගවේෂණය වැනි කිසිදු ව්‍යාපෘතියක් මෙතෙක් ආරම්භ කර නොමැති බවයි.

"ලොරි ටෝක්ස් නම් ගොඩක් තියෙනවා. හැබැයි වැඩක් නැහැ. සමාජයේ සෑම අංශයක්ම විනාශ මුඛයට ගිහින්. එක දෙයක් විතරක් අඩු වෙලා නැහැ, ඒ තමයි බොරු කියන එක," යනුවෙන් මරික්කාර් මහතා වැඩිදුරටත් ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

රජය විසින් ලබා දුන් පොරොන්දු ඉටු නොකිරීම හේතුවෙන් රටේ සමස්ත පද්ධතියම බිඳ වැටෙමින් පවතින බවත්, ජනතාව මුළා කිරීමේ දේශපාලනය තවදුරටත් ක්‍රියාත්මක වන බවත් මන්ත්‍රීවරයා මෙහිදී අවධාරණය කර සිටියේය.

MP Marikkar Criticizes Government for Unfulfilled Promises

With over 40% of President's term already expired, Member of Parliament S. M. Marikkar has voiced his concerns regarding the government’s failure to fulfill any of its commitments thus far.

Addressing the media, Marikkar pointed out that no significant projects have been initiated, including those related to expressway construction, electric train systems, or the deployment of modern technology for fishing and mineral resource exploration.

"There are numerous projects called ‘lorry talks,’ but nothing is being accomplished. Every sector of society is heading towards destruction. The only thing that hasn’t diminished is the prevalence of falsehood," he further emphasized.

He highlighted that the government's inability to deliver on its promises is causing systemic collapse across the nation, and he warned that the politics of marginalizing the populace continues unabated.
