පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රී නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතාට සෙත්පතා මාතර ඓතිහාසික බෝධි පරිශ්රයේදී පැවැත්වීමට සැලසුම් කර තිබූ විශේෂ බෝධි පූජාමය පිංකමකට ඉඩ ලබාදිය නොහැකි බව මාතර බෝධි ආරක්ෂක සභාව දැනුම් දී තිබේ.
මෙම බෝධි පූජාව පැවැත්වීම සඳහා මීට දින කිහිපයකට පෙර සියලු නීත්යනුකූල අවසරයන් ලබාගෙන තිබූ බව එහි සංවිධායක මණ්ඩලය පවසයි.
කෙසේවෙතත්, බෝධි ආරක්ෂක සභාව විසින් පසුව ගනු ලැබූ මෙම තීරණය හේතුවෙන්, නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතා වෙනුවෙන් ආශිර්වාද පතා සිදු කිරීමට නියමිතව තිබූ බෝධි පූජා පිංකම වෙනත් සුදුසු ආගමික ස්ථානයක් වෙත රැගෙන ගොස් පැවැත්වීමට සංවිධායකවරුන්ට සිදුව ඇතැයි වාර්තා වේ.
Permission Denied for Special Bodhi Puja in Matara
The Matara Bodhi Security Council has announced that a special Bodhi Puja, planned by Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa, will not be permitted to take place at the historic Bodhi premises in Matara.
The organizing committee claims that they had obtained all the necessary legal approvals for the ceremony several days prior to the announcement. However, the subsequent decision from the Bodhi Security Council has led to a change in plans.
It is reported that, following the denial, the organizers have made arrangements to conduct the Bodhi Puja at another suitable religious location, where blessings intended for Rajapaksa can still be sought.
