පසුගිය 21 වනදා කොළඹ 06, ස්ටැෆර්ඩ් පාරේ පිහිටි කඩදාසි සංස්ථා ප්රධාන කාර්යාලයේ සිට සභාපතිවරයා කැඳවාගෙන ඒම සඳහා කඩවත පිහිටි ඔහුගේ නිවස බලා පිටත්ව ගිය අවස්ථාවේදී මෙම අතුරුදන්වීම සිදුව ඇතැයි පොලිසිය පවසයි.
නියමිත වේලාවට වාහනය නිවස වෙත ළඟා නොවීම හේතුවෙන් සභාපතිවරයා රියැදුරු අමතා ඒ පිළිබඳව විමසා ඇති අතර, රථයේ ඉන්ධන කාන්දුවක් පවතින බවට රියැදුරු එහිදී ප්රකාශ කර තිබේ.
අනතුරුව කඩවත ප්රදේශයේ වාහන අලුත්වැඩියා කරන ස්ථානයකට ගොස් රථය පරීක්ෂා කරවා ගන්නා ලෙස සභාපතිවරයා උපදෙස් දී ඇති අතර, රියැදුරු අදාළ ගරාජය වෙත ගොස් පරීක්ෂා කිරීමේදී වාහනයේ කිසිදු කාර්මික දෝෂයක් නොමැති බව එහි කාර්මිකයන් දැනුම් දුන් බවටද පොලිස් මූලික විමර්ශනවලදී අනාවරණය වී ඇත.
කෙසේවෙතත්, එදින පස්වරු 4.00 පමණ වන තෙක් ඔහු ආයතනය වෙත නොපැමිණි හෙයින් යළි දුරකථනයෙන් සම්බන්ධ කරගැනීමට උත්සාහ කළද, ඒ වන විටත් රියැදුරුගේ ජංගම දුරකථනය විසන්ධි කර තිබූ බව පැවසේ.
මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් කඩදාසි සංස්ථාවේ ප්රවාහන කළමනාකාර සමන් ප්රියංකර ප්රනාන්දු මහතා විසින් වැල්ලවත්ත පොලිසිය වෙත පැමිණිලි කර ඇති අතර, මෙලෙස අතුරුදන්ව ඇත්තේ රාගම, කැන්දලියද්දපාළුව ප්රදේශයේ පදිංචි 29 හැවිරිදි තරුණයෙකි.
අතුරුදන් වූ රියැදුරු සහ කැබ් රථය සොයා දුරකථන විශ්ලේෂණ වාර්තා මෙන්ම ආරක්ෂිත කැමරා දර්ශන ඔස්සේ පැති කිහිපයකින් විමර්ශන මෙහෙයවනු ලැබේ.

Chairman's Official Cab and Driver Mysteriously Go Missing
The police in Vallawatta have received a complaint reporting the mysterious disappearance of the official cab belonging to the chairman of the National Paper Corporation, along with its driver.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on September 21, when the chairman's journey from the corporation's main office on Stafford Avenue in Colombo 06 to his residence in Kadawatha was disrupted.
Concerned about the vehicle's failure to arrive at the expected time, the chairman reached out to the driver, who reportedly mentioned a fuel issue with the cab at that moment.
Subsequently, the chairman instructed the driver to have the vehicle checked at a local repair shop in the Kadawatha area. Initial inquiries indicated that the mechanics at the garage found no mechanical faults with the cab during their inspection.
However, by around 4:00 PM that day, there was still no sign of the chairman arriving at the office. Attempts to reconnect with the driver were unsuccessful, as his mobile phone appeared to be switched off by that time.
The corporation's transportation manager, Saman Priyankara Pranandu, has filed a complaint with the Vallawatta police regarding this matter. The missing driver is identified as a 29-year-old resident of the Ragama, Kandaliyadda area.
Investigations to locate the missing cab and driver are underway, utilizing phone records and security camera footage as part of the effort.
Further inquiries are ongoing.
