 දින දෙකක කාලයක් තිස්සේ කැබ් රථය ද සමඟ අතුරුදන්ව සිටි ජාතික කඩදාසි සංස්ථාවේ සභාපතිවරයාගේ නිල රියැදුරා ඊයේ (23) අලුයම එම කැබ් රථය සංස්ථා ප්‍රධාන කාර්යාල පරිශ්‍රයේ දමා පලා ගොස් ඇතැයි වැල්ලවත්ත පොලිසිය පවසයි.

ඊයේ අලුයම 6.30ට පමණ කොළඹ 06, ස්ටැෆර්ඩ් පාරේ පිහිටි සංස්ථා ප්‍රධාන කාර්යාලය වෙත කැබ් රථයෙන් පැමිණ ඇති ඔහු, රථය නියමිත ස්ථානයේ ගාල් කර තමන් සූදානම් වී යළි පැමිණෙන බවට එහි සිටි ආරක්ෂක නිලධාරියාට පවසා පිටව ගොස් ඇති බව විමර්ශනවලදී හෙළි වී තිබේ.

ඉකුත් 21 වැනිදා සභාපතිවරයා කාර්යාලය වෙත කැඳවාගෙන ඒම සඳහා කඩවත පිහිටි ඔහුගේ නිවස බලා පිටත්ව ගිය මෙම රියැදුරා අතරමගදී අතුරුදන්ව ඇත.

නියමිත වේලාවට රථය නිවස වෙත නොපැමිණීම හේතුවෙන් සභාපතිවරයා දුරකථනයෙන් කළ විමසීමේදී, රථයේ ඉන්ධන කාන්දුවක් පවතින බව රියැදුරා සඳහන් කර තිබේ.

ඒ අනුව කඩවත ප්‍රදේශයේ වාහන අලුත්වැඩියා කරන ස්ථානයක් වෙත ගොස් එය පරීක්ෂා කරවා ගන්නා ලෙස සභාපතිවරයා ඔහුට උපදෙස් ලබා දී ඇති අතර, රියැදුරා අදාළ ස්ථානයට රථය රැගෙන ගොස් පෙන්වූ අවස්ථාවේදී එහි කාර්මික ශිල්පීන් පවසා ඇත්තේ රථයේ කිසිදු දෝෂයක් නොමැති බවයි.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, එදින පස්වරු 4.00 පමණ වන තෙක් රියැදුරා කාර්යාලය වෙත නොපැමිණි අතර දුරකථනය ද විසන්ධි කර තිබීම හේතුවෙන් කඩදාසි සංස්ථාවේ ප්‍රවාහන කළමනාකරු විසින් වැල්ලවත්ත පොලිසියට පැමිණිල්ලක් ඉදිරිපත් කර තිබුණි.

මෙසේ පලා ගොස් ඇත්තේ රාගම, කැන්දලියැද්දපාළුව ප්‍රදේශයේ පදිංචි 29 හැවිරිදි පුද්ගලයෙකි.

ඔහු අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීම සඳහා දුරකථන විශ්ලේෂණ වාර්තා සහ සීසීටීවී (CCTV) දර්ශන ඔස්සේ පැති කිහිපයකින් පුළුල් විමර්ශන ක්‍රියාත්මක බව පොලිසිය සඳහන් කරයි.

Official Driver of National Paper Corporation Chairman Goes Missing with Cab

The Vallawatta Police reported that the official driver of the Chairman of the National Paper Corporation, who went missing along with the cab for two days, abandoned the vehicle early yesterday (23) morning at the corporation’s main office premises and fled the scene.

Shortly after 6:30 a.m. yesterday, the driver arrived at the corporation’s headquarters located on Stafford Street in Colombo 06. Upon arriving, he told a security officer present that he would park the vehicle as instructed and return shortly. Investigations later revealed these details.

On the 21st of this month, the driver was tasked with picking up the Chairman from his residence in Kadawatha. However, he disappeared en route.

As the vehicle failed to arrive at the expected time, the Chairman made inquiries via phone, during which the driver mentioned there was an issue with the fuel gauge. Consequently, the Chairman directed him to a vehicle repair facility in the Kadawatha area for inspection, where technicians reportedly confirmed that there were no faults with the vehicle.

However, the driver did not arrive at the office by 4:00 p.m. that day. Furthermore, the driver’s phone was unreachable, prompting the transportation manager of the corporation to file a complaint with the Vallawatta Police.

Police have identified the missing 29-year-old driver as a resident of the Ragama, Kandaliyeddapaluwa area. Investigators are currently conducting a thorough probe, utilizing phone analysis reports and CCTV footage to trace his whereabouts.
