මාදම්පේ - කුලියාපිටිය ප්රධාන මාර්ගයේ හලබණ්ඩාරගම ප්රදේශයේදී අද (28) අලුයම සිදුවූ දරුණු රිය අනතුරකින් එකම පවුලේ සහෝදරයන් දෙදෙනෙකු ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්ව, ඔවුන්ගේ මව බරපතළ තුවාල ලබා ඇතැයි පොලිසිය පවසයි.
අද අලුයම 5.30 ට පමණ මෙම පිරිස ගමන් ගත් යතුරුපැදිය මාර්ගයෙන් ඉවතට පැන අසල තිබූ මාර්ගස්ථ විදුලි පහන් කණුවක ගැටීමෙන් මෙම අනතුර සිදුව තිබේ.
අනතුරින් මියගොස් ඇත්තේ දුම්මලසූරිය, වීරකොඩියාන ප්රදේශයේ පදිංචිව සිටි 17 සහ 11 යන වියේ පසු වූ පිරිමි දරුවන් දෙදෙනෙකි.
අනතුරින් බරපතළ තුවාල ලැබූ ඔවුන්ගේ මව වහාම හලාවත මහ රෝහල වෙත ඇතුළත් කර ඇති අතර, ඇය මේ වන විටත් එහි නේවාසිකව දැඩි ප්රතිකාර ලබමින් පසුවේ.

Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Two Siblings in Madampe
In a devastating accident early this morning in Madampe, two brothers lost their lives when their motorcycle collided with a roadside electric post. The incident, which reportedly took place around 5:30 AM along the Kuliyapitiya main road in the Halabandara area, also left their mother severely injured.
The fatality involved two boys, aged 17 and 11, both residents of the Dummalasooriya and Weerakodiya regions. Rescue efforts were immediate, with the boys pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the accident, their mother was rushed to the Halawatha Base Hospital, where she is currently receiving intensive treatment for her critical injuries.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing, as the Madampe Police Station conducts a thorough inquiry.
