දිට්වා සුලි කුණාටුවෙන් (01) දින පස්වරු 2:45ට පමණ අධික වර්ෂාවත් පතිත වූ බවත්, ඒ සමගම මෙරායා ඔය පිටාර ගලා තම පාසලේ සියලුම ගොඩනැගිලි සහ පන්තිකාමර ජලයෙන් යට වු බවයි විදුහල්පතිවරයා කියා සිටියේ.
මෙරායා දමිළ පාසල සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම ජලයෙන් යට වීම නිසා (02) දින එම පාලසට නිවාඩු ලබා දුන් බව නුවරඑළීය කලාප අධ්‍යාපන අධ්‍යක්ෂක ඩී.එම්.එස්.බී. දිසානායක මහතා පැවසිය.

Heavy Rains Submerge School in Lidula Region
The recent torrential rains that struck the Lidula area caused severe flooding, leading to the complete submersion of the Meeriya Tamil School. The school principal, N. Kanagaraja, revealed that the waters of the Kothmal Oya overflowed, inundating all school buildings and classrooms.
The heavy downpour was recorded on October 1, around 2:45 PM, coinciding with the arrival of the Dithwa Sucli cyclone. As a result, every section of the school was affected, leaving it underwater, the principal stated.
Due to the extensive flooding, the school was officially closed on October 2, as confirmed by D. M. S. B. Disanayake, the Regional Director of Education for Nuwara Eliya.
