කෘෂිකර්ම දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ 850 දෙනෙකු සඳහා පත්වීම් ප්‍රදානය ගන්නොරුව පැළෑටි හා ජාන සම්පත් මධ්‍යස්ථානයේදී සිදු කරන ලදී. කොන්ත්‍රාත් පදනම මත සේවය කළ සේවක මහත්ම මහත්මීන් 690 ක දෙනෙකු ද, 160 දෙනෙකු සඳහා ද්වියිතික මට්ටමේ තනතුරු සඳහා ද මෙහිදී පත්වීම් ලබාදීම සිදු කෙරිණ.
තාක්ෂණික නිළධාරීන්, ගොවිපල ලිපිකරු, බීජ කාර්මික, නේවාසිකාගාර පාලක පාලිකාවන් වැනි තනතුරු මෙහි ඇතුළත් විය. මෙම අවස්ථාවට කෘෂිකර්ම, පශුසම්පත්, ඉඩම් සහ වාරිමාර්ග අමාත්‍ය කේ.ඩී.ලාල් කාන්ත මහතා සහ කෘෂිකර්ම සහ පශු සම්පත් නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය නාමල් කරුණාරත්න මහතා සහභාගී විය.
කෘෂිකර්ම දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ වසර 15ක 20ක පමණ කාලයක් සේවය ස්ථීර කර ගත නොහැකිව සිටි සේවක මහත්ම මහත්මීන්ගේ සේවය ස්ථීර කරමින් රටේ ගොවි ජනතාවගේ කෘෂිකාර්මික ක්ෂේත්‍රය නඟා සිටුවීම වෙනුවෙන් වත්මන් ආණ්ඩුව මනා කැපවීමෙන් උනන්දුවෙන් කටයුතු කරන බව මනාව පෙන්නුම් කරන එක් වැඩසටහනක් ලෙස මෙය පෙන්වා දිය හැකිය.
මෙම අවස්ථාවට සම්බන්ධ වූ කෘෂිකර්ම සහ පශු සම්පත් නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය නාමල් කරුණාරත්න මහතා මෙසේ අදහස් ඉදිරිපත් කළේය.
“තමන්ගේ පත්වීම ස්ථීර නැති නිසා ඔබ විශාල මානසික පීඩනයක ඉන්න ඇති. ඒ වගේ පරිසරයක් යටතේ තමයි අද දවසේ ඔබට ස්ථීර පත්වීම් ලබාදෙන්නේ. දැන් ඔබට පූර්ණ රාජ්‍ය සේවකයෙක් විදිහට සියලු අයිතිවාසිකම් හිමිවෙනවා. ඒක විශාල අභිමානයක්.
ලෝකයේ ලොකුම ගින්න බඩගින්න. ඒ ප්‍රශ්නයට විසඳුම් ලබාදෙන්නේ ආහාර නිෂ්පාදකයෝ. ඒ ආහාර නිෂ්පාදන ක්‍රියාවලියට දායක වෙන්නේ ගොවිජනතාව. ඒක ගොවිජනතාවට තනියම කරන්න බැහැ. ඒ සඳහා මඟ පෙන්වන්නේ ඔබ. ඒ නිසා අද සිට ඔබට විශාල කාර්යභාරයක් පැවරිලා තියෙනවා. ඒ රාජකාරිය ඉතාම කැපවීමෙන් සිදු කරයි කියලා අපි අපේක්ෂා කරනවා.”
මෙම අවස්ථාව සදහා කෘෂිකර්ම දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ අධ්‍යක්ෂ ජනරාල් තුෂාර වික්‍රමආරච්චි මහතා ඇතුලු අමාත්‍යාංශ දෙපාර්තමේන්තු නිළධාරීන් රැසක් සහබාගී විය.
Appointment Ceremony for 850 Agricultural Department Employees in Gnanoruwa
The Ministry of Agriculture held a significant appointment ceremony for 850 individuals at the Plant and Gene Resources Center in Gnanoruwa. Among those appointed, 690 were contract-based workers, while positions for 160 individuals were designated at dual-tier levels.
The newly appointed roles included Technical Officers, Farm Clerks, Seed Technologists, and supervisors for residential facilities. This event was graced by the presence of Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land, and Irrigation K.D. Lal Kantha, alongside Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Namal Karunarathna.
This ceremony highlighted the government's commitment to securing employment for long-serving employees of the Ministry of Agriculture, many of whom have faced instability for over 15 to 20 years. It serves as a testament to the current government's dedication to advancing the agricultural sector in the country.
During the event, Deputy Minister Namal Karunarathna expressed understanding of the challenges faced by newly appointed employees, particularly the mental strain stemming from their previous job insecurity. He emphasized the significance of their new appointments, stating, "Today, you will receive permanent positions as full-fledged public servants with all associated rights. That is a tremendous honor."
Furthermore, Karunarathna reminded the attendees of the vital role they play in addressing global food production challenges, declaring, "Farmers are essential in the food production process, but they cannot do it alone. Guidance is needed, and that responsibility now rests on your shoulders." He encouraged the newly appointed officials to carry out their duties with unwavering dedication.
The event was attended by a variety of officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, including Director General Thushara Vikramaarachchi, who joined in recognizing the importance of this new chapter for the agricultural workforce.
