 ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදු ජන පෙරමුණේ නුවරඑළිය දිස්ත්‍රික් සංවිධායක නිමල් පියතිස්ස මහතා සහ කොත්මලේ ආසනයේ සංවිධායක පරාක්‍රම දසනායක මහතා අතර (18) දින පස්වරුවේ තිස්පනේ ප්‍රදේශයේ උත්සව ශාලාවකදී ඇති වූ වචන හුවමාරුවක් ගඅටිබැට හුවමාරුවක් දක්වා වර්ධනය වූ බව පරාක්‍රම දසනායක මහතා පැවසීය.

කොත්මලේ ආසනයේ සංවිධායකවරයා වශයෙන් තමන්ව දැනුවත් නොකර නිමල් පියතිස්ස මහතා (18) දින පස්වරු 2:00ට තිස්පනේ පෞද්ගලික උත්සව ශාලාවක රැස්වීමක් කැදවා තිබූ බවත්, ඒ පිලිබදව විමසීමට ගිය අවස්ථාවේ දෙදෙනා අතර, වචන හුවමාරුවක් සිදු වූ බවත්, ගුටිබැට හුවමාරුවක් දක්වා එය දුර ගිය බවත්, පසුව නිමල් පියතිස්ස මහතා රැස්වීම නොපවත්වා පිටව ගිය බවයි පරාක්‍රම දසනායක මහතා කියා සිටියේ.

එකම දිස්ත්‍රික්කයක සංවිධායකවරුන් වූවත්, තමන් නියෝජනය කරන කොත්මලේ ආසනයට තමන්ව දැනුවත් නොකර පැමිණ පක්ෂයේ රැස්වීමක් පැවැත්වීම තමන්ට ගැටළුවක් නිසා ඒ පිලිබදව විමසීමට තමන් නිමල් පියතිස්ස මහතාගේ රැස්විමට ගිය බවත්, ඇති වූ සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් පක්ෂයේ මහ ලේකම්වරයා දැනුවත් කිරිමට පියවර ගන්නා බවද පරාක්‍රම දසනායක මහතා පැවසීය.

අප මේ පිලිබදව නුවරඑළිය දිස්ත්‍රික් සංවිධායක නිමල් පියතිස්ස මහතාගෙන් කල විමසීමට ඔහු කියා සිටියේ, ලබන මස නුවරඑළිය දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ පැවැත්වෙන දිස්ත්‍රික් සම්මේලනය සදහා තමන් දිස්ත්‍රික්කය තුල රැස්වීම් ගණනාවක් පවත්වමින් යන බවත්, (18) දින පස්වරුවේ කොත්මලේ තිස්පනේ ප්‍රදේශයේ රැස්වීමක් පැවැත්වීමට සූදානම් වන විට පරාක්‍රම දසනායක මහතා මැර පිරිසක් සමග පැමිණ එම රැස්වීම කඩාකප්පල් කර ගිය බවයි.

පසුව තමන් සහ තමන්ගේ ආදාරකරුවන් පිරිස එම පිරිසට පහර දී පන්නා දැමූ බවද නිමල් පියතිස්ස මහතා පැවසීය.

Verbal Altercation Escalates to Physical Confrontation at Political Meeting in Divulapitiya

A verbal exchange between two local political leaders turned into a physical confrontation during a meeting in the Thispane area on the afternoon of the 18th. This incident involved Nimal Piyathissa, the district organizer of the Sri Lanka People's Front, and Parakrama Dissanayake, the organizer for the Kotmale constituency.

Dissanayake revealed that Piyathissa had convened the meeting at a private event hall without informing him, raising questions about the organizational protocols within their party. When Dissanayake sought clarification regarding the gathering, it escalated to a heated argument, eventually leading to a physical altercation.

Despite being fellow district organizers, Dissanayake expressed his displeasure at the lack of communication regarding the meeting and emphasized that it was concerning enough for him to confront Piyathissa. He also indicated that he would report the incident to the party's general secretary.

In response to inquiries, Piyathissa stated that he was actively engaged in organizing several meetings leading up to a district convention scheduled for next month. He alleged that during the confrontation in Kotmale, Dissanayake arrived with a group and disrupted the meeting, resulting in a significant commotion.

Furthermore, Piyathissa claimed that he and his supporters defended themselves from the attack initiated by Dissanayake's group.
