වත්මන් ජනාධිපතිවරයාට හෝ ආණ්ඩුවේ ප්‍රධානීන්ට සාමාන්‍ය ජනතාව මුහුණ දෙන ජීවන බර පිළිබඳ කිසිදු හැඟීමක් නොමැති බව සමගි ජන බලවේගයේ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී අජිත් පී. පෙරේරා මහතා පවසයි.

මාධ්‍ය හමුවකට එක්වෙමින් ඒ මහතා මේ බව සඳහන් කළේය.

එහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් අදහස් දැක්වූ මන්ත්‍රීවරයා කියා සිටියේ, පවතින දැඩි ජීවන බර පිළිබඳ සැබෑ හැඟීමක් සහ අවබෝධයක් ලැබීමට නම් පවුල් ජීවිතයක් ගතකරන, නිවසක ජීවත්වෙමින් තමන්ගේම විදුලි බිල සහ දුරකථන බිල ගෙවන පුද්ගලයෙකු විය යුතු බවයි.

මෙරට අතිමහත් බහුතරයක් ජනතාව එවැනි සාමාන්‍ය ජීවිතයක් ගතකරමින් එම පීඩනය දරාගන්නා නමුදු, වත්මන් ආණ්ඩුවේ වැඩිදෙනෙකු සිය ජීවිත කාලය තුළ කිසිදිනක තමන්ගේ විදුලි බිලක්වත් ගෙවා නොමැති බව හෙතෙම පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

එමෙන්ම තමන්ගේ වියදම සඳහා ආහාර පාන පවා උපයාගෙන වියදම් කර නොමැති පිරිසක් පාලනය මෙහෙයවන තාක් ජනතා ප්‍රශ්නවලට නිසි විසඳුම් නොලැබෙන බව ද මන්ත්‍රීවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

No Understanding of Public Hardships, Says MP Ajith P. Perera

Ajith P. Perera, a Member of Parliament from the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, has criticized the current President and government officials for their apparent disconnection from the everyday struggles faced by the general populace. Speaking at a media conference, he voiced his concerns over the lack of empathy shown towards the rising cost of living that many citizens are grappling with.

Perera emphasized that to truly grasp the severity of the economic pressures, one must lead a household, manage personal utility bills, and experience the financial burden firsthand. He pointed out that a significant portion of the population endures these hardships while the present government officials have likely never experienced the responsibility of paying their own electricity bills throughout their lives.

Highlighting the disparity, he remarked that many citizens are going through challenging times simply to afford basic necessities, while some in power remain insulated from such realities. This detachment, he argued, stifles genuine solutions to the pressing issues confronting the populace.

Furthermore, he noted that those in control who do not even generate income to cover their own food and beverage expenses are unlikely to provide adequate answers to the problems faced by the people. Perera’s comments bring to light the growing frustration among citizens towards a government that seems unaware of their struggles.
