අකුණක් වැදී අයෙක් මරුට...

තලවකැලේ ප්‍රදේශයට (03) දින පස්වරුවේ ඇදහැලුණු අධික වර්ෂාවත් සමග නිවසකට අකුණු සැරවැදීමෙන් නිවසේ ඉදි කිරිම් කටයුතු සිදු කරමින් සිටි පුද්ගලයෙකු (03) දින පස්වරුවේ ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත් වී ඇති බව තලවකැලේ පොලිසිය පැවසීය.

මෙසේ අකුණුසැර පතිත විමෙන් මිය ගොස් ඇත්තේ තලවකැලේ පොලිස් වසමට අයත් ෆාමස්ටන් වත්තේ පහළ කොටසේ පදිංචි සුභ්‍රමණියම් දේවකුමාර් නැමති 50 හැවිරිදි අයෙකි.

මරණකරු තවත් තිදෙනෙකු සමග නිවසේ ඉදිකිරිම් කටයුත්තක් සිදු කරමින් සිටින අවස්ථාවේ පැවති වර්ෂාවත් සමග පස්වරු 4:30ට පමණ නිවසට අකුණු සැර පතිත වී ඇත.

අකුණුසැර පතිත විමේන් අන් කිසිවෙකුටත් තුවාල සිදු වී නොමැති වූවත්, නිවසටද අලාභ හානි සිදු වී ඇති බව අනතුර පිලිබද පරික්ෂණ පවත්වන තලවකැලේ පොලිසිය පවසයි.

අකුණු සැර වැදී මියගිය පුද්ගලයාගේ සිරුර පෂ්චාත් මරණ පරික්ෂණය සදහා නුවරඒළිය දිස්ත්‍රි‍ක් මහ රෝහලේ අධිකරණ වෛද්‍යවරයා වෙත යොමු කර ඇත.

Lightning Strikes During Heavy Rain in Talawakelle, Claiming One Life

In a tragic incident on the afternoon of October 3, a man lost his life after being struck by lightning while working on the construction of a house in the Talawakelle area. The local police confirmed the information amidst ongoing severe rain showers.

The victim, identified as 50-year-old Subramaniam Devakumar, was performing construction work at his residence in the lower section of Famaston Watta within the Talawakelle police jurisdiction. The lightning strike occurred around 4:30 PM while he was engaged in the building project alongside two other individuals.

While no one else was injured in the incident, the house itself sustained damage due to the lightning strike. The Talawakelle police are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.

The body of the deceased has been sent to the Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital for post-mortem examination.
