 නුවරඑළිය ග්‍රෙගරිවැවේ පා වෙමින් තිබු නාදුනන පුද්ගල මළ සිරුරක් හමු වූ බව නුවරඑළිය පොලිසිය පැවසීය.

නුවරඑලිය බදුල්ල ප්‍රධාන මාර්ගයේ ග්‍රෙගරිවැවේ ජලය නානුඔයට ගලා බසින පාලමට යාබදව පුද්ගල මළසිරුරක් පා වෙමින් තිබෙන බවට එම ජලාශයේ බෝට්ටුකරුවන් විසින් පොලිසිය වෙත ලබා දුන් තොරතුරක් මත සිරුර සොයා ගෙන ඇත.

පා වෙමින් තිබු මළසිරුර නුවරඑළිය මහේස්ත්‍රාත්වරයාගේ ස්ථාන පරික්ෂාවෙන් පසු සිරුර පෂ්චාත් මරණ පරික්ෂණය සදහා නුවරඑළිය දිස්ත්‍රික් මහ රෝහලේ අධිකරණ වෛද්‍යවරයා වෙත යොමු කරන බව සිරුර සම්බන්ධයෙන් පරික්ෂණ පවත්වන නුවරඑළිය පොලිසියේ නිළධාරියෙකු පැවසීය.

Body Found Floating in Gregory Lake, Nuwara Eliya

The police in Nuwara Eliya have confirmed the discovery of a corpse floating in Gregory Lake, raising concerns in the community.

The body was spotted by boat operators in the area, who reported the sighting to authorities. It was found near a bridge on the main Nuwara Eliya–Badulla road, where the lake's waters converge.

After an examination by the Nuwara Eliya Magistrate’s Court, officials indicated that the body would be sent for a post-mortem examination at the Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing, as noted by a spokesperson from the Nuwara Eliya police.
