අනුරාධපුර පූජා භූමිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් මෑතකාලීනව විවිධ පාර්ශ්වයන් විසින් සමාජගත කරන අසත්‍ය ප්‍රකාශ දැඩි ලෙස ප්‍රතික්ෂේප කළ අමාත්‍යවරයා, රුවන්වැලි මහා සෑය වටා වැටවල් ඉදිකරන බවටත්, රාම කෝවිල් ඉදිකිරීමට යන බවටත් සහ මල් ආසන ගලවා ඉවත් කරන බවටත් ඇතැමුන් පතුරුවා හරින්නේ සම්පූර්ණ සාහසික මුසාවාද බව පෙන්වා දුන්නේය. 

පසුගිය සතියේ තමන් පෞද්ගලිකවම අනුරාධපුරයට ගොස් අදාළ ඒකාබද්ධ සැලැස්ම පිළිබඳ සොයා බැලූ බවත්, රූපවාහිනී වැඩසටහන් ඔස්සේ පවා මේ වන විට එම සත්‍ය තොරතුරු ජනතාවට පැහැදිලි කර දී ඇති බවත් ඔහු සඳහන් කළේය.

අනුරාධපුර ඒකාබද්ධ සංරක්ෂණ වැඩසටහන වෙනුවෙන් රුපියල් කෝටි 400 කට අධික දැවැන්ත මුදලක් වෙන් කර ඇති බවත්, එය හුදෙක් සිතාගත නොහැකි තරම් විශාල ආයෝජනයක් බවත් අමාත්‍යවරයා මෙහිදී හෙළි කළේය. 

යුනෙස්කෝ (UNESCO) ලෝක උරුමයක් වන අනුරාධපුර පූජනීය නගරයේ සංරක්ෂණ කටයුතු වෙනුවෙන් අග්‍රාමාත්‍යවරිය සහ තමා පැරීසියේ පිහිටි යුනෙස්කෝ මූලස්ථානය වෙත ගොස් රාජ්‍යයන් ගණනාවකට කරුණු පහදා දී විශාල ප්‍රතිපාදන ප්‍රමාණයක් ආකර්ෂණය කර ගැනීමට සමත් වූ බව පැවසූ අමාත්‍යවරයා, කිසිදු දෙගිඩියාවකින් තොරව මෙම ජාතික කර්තව්‍යය ඉදිරියට ගෙන යන බවද අවධාරණය කළේය.

Anuradhapura: A Unique Sacred Site Emphasized by Minister Senewiratne

The sacred site of Anuradhapura holds unparalleled historical significance for the world, as emphasized by Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Prof. Hiniduma Sunil Senewiratne. He pointed out that there is no other place on Earth that can rival the sanctity of this revered location.

While addressing a festival committee in Kolonnawa, the Minister strongly refuted recent false claims being circulated by various parties regarding the Anuradhapura sacred grounds. He highlighted the baselessness of rumors suggesting the construction of walls around the Ruwanweli Maha Seya and the establishment of a Ram Kovil, as well as the alleged removal of flower seating areas.

Minister Senewiratne disclosed that he had personally visited Anuradhapura last week to investigate the unified conservation plan. He has made efforts to clarify the true information to the public through television programs.

He revealed that a staggering sum of over 400 million Rupees has been allocated for the Anuradhapura Unified Conservation program, characterizing this investment as extraordinarily significant.

Additionally, he noted that the Prime Minister succeeded in presenting substantial facts to numerous states while in Paris, in relation to UNESCO World Heritage conservation efforts for the Anuradhapura sacred city. The Minister reaffirmed that this national responsibility will be pursued without any discrepancies.
