කටුනායක ඉහල අහසේ ගුවන් යානාවකට කුරුළු ප‍්‍රහාරයක්.. පැය තුනක් කැරකී යලි ගොඩබායි..

 කටුනායක බණ්ඩාරනායක ජාත්‍යන්තර ගුවන් තොටුපළෙන් තුර්කියේ ඉස්තාන්බුල් බලා පිටත්ව ගිය තුර්කි ගුවන් සේවයට අයත් යානයක්, ගුවන්ගත වී සුළු වේලාවකින් කුරුල්ලෙකුගේ ගැටීම හේතුවෙන් යළි හදිසියේ කටුනායකට ගොඩබස්වා තිබේ.

TK731 දරන මෙම එයාර්බස් A330-300 වර්ගයේ යානය, මෙලෙස අනතුරට ලක්ව ඇති අතර, ආරක්ෂිත පියවරක් ලෙස යානය ගොඩබැස්වීමට පෙර මෙරට බටහිර මුහුදු තීරයට ඉහළින් පැය තුනකට අධික කාලයක් පියාසර කරමින් තිබුණි.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා සිවිල් ගුවන් සේවා අධිකාරිය සඳහන් කළේ, අදාළ යානය තුළ පියාසර කරමින් සිටියදී ඉන්ධන ඉවත් කිරීමේ පද්ධතියක් නොමැති බැවින්, ගොඩබැස්වීමට අවශ්‍ය බර ප්‍රමාණය අඩු කර ගැනීම සඳහා මෙලෙස අහසේ සැරිසරමින් ඉන්ධන දහනය කිරීමට ගුවන් නියමුවන්ට සිදු වූ බවයි.

යානයේ පාලන පද්ධති සාමාන්‍ය පරිදි ක්‍රියාත්මක වූ අතර, එහි සිටි මගීන් සහ කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය සියලු දෙනාම ආරක්ෂිතව සිටින බව බලධාරීන් තහවුරු කළහ. 

යානය ගොඩබැස්වීමට පෙර සම්මත ආරක්ෂිත ක්‍රියා පටිපාටියට අනුව ගුවන් තොටුපළේ ගිනි නිවන සහ හදිසි සහන සේවා කණ්ඩායම් දැඩි සූදානමකින් තබා තිබුණි.

Turkish Airlines Flight Returns to Katunayake Due to Bird Strike

A Turkish Airlines flight departing from Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake for Istanbul experienced an emergency situation shortly after takeoff, forcing the aircraft to return to the airport following a bird strike.

The Airbus A330-300, operating as flight TK731, encountered the incident shortly after becoming airborne. As a precautionary measure, the aircraft circled above the Western coastline of Sri Lanka for over three hours before safely landing back at the airport to reduce its weight.

The Sri Lanka Civil Aviation Authority reported that due to the absence of a fuel jettisoning system onboard, the pilots had to burn fuel in-flight to achieve the necessary landing weight.

Officials confirmed that the aircraft's control systems functioned normally throughout the flight, and all passengers and crew were safe.

Prior to the landing, fire and emergency services at the airport were placed on high alert in accordance with standard safety protocols.
