2026.07.29 වන අද දින සවස බෙන්තොට පොලිස් වසමේ වෙරළ මාර්ගයේ පවත්වා ගෙන යනු ලබන ආයතනයක් මගින් ගුවන් ගත කරන ලද සැහැල්ලු ගුවන් පැරෂූට් යන්ත්‍රයක් එය හසුරවන්නා හා එහි සිටි විදෙස් ජාතික කාන්තාව සමඟ මුහුදට කඩා වැටී අනතුරක් සිදුව ඇත.

අනතුරින් එම කාන්තාව මියගොස් ඇති අතර පැරෂූටය මෙහෙයවූ කොලොම්බියා ජාතික පුද්ගලයා දිවි බේරාගෙන ඇත.

මරණකාරිය අවුරුදු 31 ක් වූ පලස්තීන ජාතික කාන්තාවකි.

මෘත ශරීරය නාගොඩ රෝහලේ මෘත ශරීරාගාරයේ තැන්පත් කර ඇත. මෙම අනතුර සම්බන්ධයෙන් බෙන්තොට පොලිසිය වැඩිදුර විර්මශන සිදු කරනු ලබයි.

Tragic Paragliding Accident Off Bentota Claims Life of a Foreign National

A paragliding accident occurred today in the evening along the coastal road in Bentota, where a lightweight paramotor was airborne when it crashed into the sea, involving the pilot and a 31-year-old Palestinian woman.

The accident resulted in the tragic death of the woman, while the Colombian pilot managed to escape with his life.

The deceased woman's body has been transferred to the mortuary of Nagoda Hospital. The Bentota Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
