පාර්ලිමේන්තුවට විඝණනයෙන් බර චෝදනා..

ශ්‍රී ලංකා පාර්ලිමේන්තුව සතු වාහන පරිපාලනය සම්බන්ධයෙන් පවතින රජයේ නීති රීති සහ චක්‍රලේඛ උල්ලංඝනය කරමින් කටයුතු කර ඇති බව ජාතික විගණන කාර්යාලය නිකුත් කළ අලුත්ම වාර්තාවකින් අනාවරණය වේ.

2025 වර්ෂයට අදාළ පාර්ලිමේන්තු වාර්ෂික විගණන වාර්තාව මගින් මෙම කරුණු හෙළිදරව් කර තිබේ.

රජයේ සියලුම සංවෘත වාහනවල රාජ්‍ය ලාංඡනය ප්‍රදර්ශනය කිරීම අනිවාර්ය වුවද, පාර්ලිමේන්තුව සතු වාහන 50ක එම ලාංඡනය සවිකර නොමැති බව විගණනයේදී අනාවරණය වී ඇත.

රාජ්‍ය පරිපාලන චක්‍රලේඛවලට අනුව සෑම මාස දෙකකට වරක් හෝ කිලෝමීටර් 25,000ක ධාවනයකින් පසු වාහනවල ඉන්ධන දහන පරීක්ෂාවක් සිදුකළ යුතුය. එහෙත් පාර්ලිමේන්තුවට අයත් වාහන 41ක් සඳහා එවැනි කිසිදු පරීක්ෂාවක් නියමිත පරිදි සිදුකර නොමැති බව වාර්තාව පෙන්වා දෙයි.

භාවිතයෙන් ඉවත් කළ යුතු වාහන 12ක් වෙන්දේසි කිරීම සඳහා පස් දෙනෙකුගෙන් යුත් කමිටුවක් පසුගිය වසරේ මැයි මස පත්කර තිබුණද, මේ දක්වා එම වාහන වෙන්දේසි කිරීමට පියවර ගෙන නොමැති බව විගණන වාර්තාවේ සඳහන් වේ.

විධායක ශ්‍රේණියේ නිලධාරීන් සඳහා සහනදායී මෝටර් රථ බලපත්‍ර නිකුත් කිරීමේදී අදාළ නිලධාරියා වසර හයක සක්‍රීය සේවා කාලයක් සම්පූර්ණ කර තිබිය යුතුය.

 එහෙත් එම කොන්දේසිය සපුරා නොමැති නිලධාරීන් තිදෙනෙකු සඳහා විධිමත් අනුමැතියකින් තොරව වාහන බලපත්‍ර නිකුත් කර ඇති බව ද ජාතික විගණන කාර්යාලය වැඩිදුරටත් අනාවරණය කර ඇත.

Parliament's Vehicle Management Practices Under Scrutiny, Reveals Audit Report

A recent report from the National Audit Office has brought to light significant violations of government regulations and circulars concerning the management of vehicles owned by the Sri Lankan Parliament.

This revelation comes from the annual Parliamentary Audit Report for the year 2025, which highlights several alarming discrepancies.

While it is mandatory for all government vehicles to display the state emblem, the audit revealed that 50 vehicles belonging to the Parliament were found without this essential insignia.

According to state administrative circulars, a fuel consumption inspection is required every two months or after every 25,000 kilometers of operation. However, the report indicates that such inspections were not conducted for 41 vehicles assigned to Parliament.

Last May, a committee of five was appointed to arrange the disposal of 12 vehicles that were deemed unserviceable. Yet, to date, no steps have been taken for the auctioning of these vehicles, as noted in the audit findings.

For executive-grade officials, it is stipulated that a motor vehicle license can only be issued after they complete a minimum of six years of active service. Nonetheless, the National Audit Office further revealed that licenses were issued to three officials who did not meet this requirement, lacking proper formal approval.
