 රටේ පවතින ආර්ථික අර්බුදය හමුවේ ජනතාවගේ මිලදී ගැනීමේ ශක්තිය පහත වැටීම ව්‍යාපාරික ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ බිඳවැටීමට සෘජුවම බලපාන බව ප්‍රකට ව්‍යාපාරික ඩඩ්ලි සිරිසේන මහතා පවසයි.

උත්සවයක් අමතමින් ඔහු අවධාරණය කළේ ජනතාව අත මුදල් නොමැති වුවහොත් ව්‍යාපාරිකයන්ට ද පැවැත්මක් නොමැති බවයි.

මෙහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් අදහස් දැක්වූ සිරිසේන මහතා පෙන්වා දුන්නේ, පෞද්ගලික අංශය සහ රටේ පවතින ක්‍රමවේදයන් පිළිබඳව මහජන විශ්වාසය බිඳ වැටී ඇති බවයි.

ආර්ථික වශයෙන් බිඳ වැටී ඇති රජයකට සියලු දෙනාට රැකියා සැපයීම අසීරු බවත්, ස්වයං රැකියා සහ වෘත්තීය නිපුණතා මගින් ආර්ථික අභියෝග ජයගත යුතු බවත් ඔහු පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

සිරිසේන මහතා හෙළි කළේ, පසුගිය මාස හතරක කාලය තුළ පමණක් ක්‍රෙඩිට් කාඩ් (Credit Card) ණය ප්‍රමාණය රුපියල් බිලියන 20කින් ඉහළ ගොස් ඇති බවයි.

එමෙන්ම, එම කාලය තුළ ජනතාව රන් භාණ්ඩ උකස් කිරීමේ ප්‍රමාණය ද රුපියල් කෝටි 35,000කින් ඉහළ ගොස් ඇති බව ඔහු සඳහන් කළේය.

මෙම ආර්ථික අර්බුදයෙන් ගොඩ ඒම සඳහා රට තුළ කර්මාන්තශාලා වැඩි වශයෙන් බිහිවිය යුතු බවත්, සංචාරක ක්ෂේත්‍රය මීට වඩා ප්‍රවර්ධනය කළ යුතු බවත් ඩඩ්ලි සිරිසේන මහතා වැඩිදුරටත් අවධාරණය කළේය.

Amidst the ongoing economic turmoil in the country, the sharp decline in consumer purchasing power is having a direct impact on businesses, according to renowned entrepreneur Daddi Sirisena. He cautioned that without cash in hand, the survival of businesses becomes increasingly uncertain.

Speaking at a recent event, Sirisena emphasized that public trust in the private sector and existing systems in the country has significantly eroded. He attributed this loss of confidence to a long history of political leaders, who, in pursuit of votes, have perpetuated a culture of distributing handouts rather than fostering sustainable economic practices.

In a candid reflection, he acknowledged his own role in supporting such political maneuvers in the past, particularly during election seasons when shallow incentives were offered to voters.

Addressing the younger generation, Sirisena advised them to prioritize vocational training and skill development rather than merely waiting for government job opportunities. He highlighted that it is increasingly challenging for a failing government to provide employment for all and urged individuals to seek self-employment and develop professional skills to navigate the economic landscape.

Sirisena revealed alarming statistics, noting that over the past four months alone, the amount of credit card debt has surged by Rs 20 billion. Additionally, he pointed out that during this same period, the public’s inclination to pawn gold jewelry has increased by Rs 35 billion.

To rebuild from this economic crisis, he stressed the need for a significant boost in manufacturing within the country and a concerted effort to promote the tourism sector further.
